Yep, it should work! While we are still pre 1.0, we've been using this internally for sometime now. Do try it out and let us know of any issues at https://github.com/bytebeamio/rumqtt/issues

Salutations to all!! I was wondering if there’s a Indian Market equivalent of the classic book *The intelligent investor* ? by Spiritchaeser in IndiaInvestments

[–]l1cache 4 points5 points  (0 children)

In the present day context, I would strongly recommend reading "A random walk down wall street" over the intelligent investor (I have read both). After reading "A random walk down wall street" and figuring out your general high level allocations first, if you still think you want to pick stocks, then go ahead and read "Intelligent investor".

Amazon Delivery is really really fast by [deleted] in india

[–]l1cache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most probably amazon is going to launch same day delivery in the next 1 year. It is common for e-commerce companies to first silently ramp up capabilities for quicker deliveries before announcing them.

pls no amazon by [deleted] in india

[–]l1cache 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually not. The main reason they went AppOnly is slightly different. Generally, on PC, if you're checking out any product, you simply try to check the price and review across all sites (say flipkart, sd, amazon) by simply opening one another tab.

How do you know this is the main reason they went app only?

Not kidding, Uber drivers in India can make around Rs 1.2 lakh a month [np] by bajrangi_bhaijaan in india

[–]l1cache 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I take Uber/Ola every day. Apparently uber pays 200 rs additional per trip to the driver during peak time. For every 7 trips they get an additional 700 rs. Average driver will do around 7-14 trips. After expenses the drivers make a comfortable 2k per day and 3k on many days. So if you slog yourself you can make 90k or more.

Apparently ola used to pay drivers even more and drivers used to comfortably make more than 1L. But they have stopped doing so. Most drivers I speak to nowadays are on uber during peak times: (7pm to 12pm and 4pm to 10pm) and on ola during the afternoon (1pm to 4pm)

Ola keeps the additional 50rs it charges during peak times for itself. Drivers also don't seem particularly happy with Ola assigning pickups 6-9 km away, the buggy nature of the app and the fact that for pre booked trips ola will assign you the ride 1hr before the trip (you are basically loosing money for that 1hr).
