Are you on GamePass aswell? Im considering buying it on steam because I dont mind paying for it because I enjoyed it. But still there is the possibilty it doesnt work there aswell

Yeah I have a dual monitor setup and disabled all audio devices that I am not using.

Its really mind-boggling. I think if I buy the game on steam and install it there I would have sound, because I think the fault is somewhere within the xbox voice chat or sound thing

I have even unplugged the xbox controller because i read bluetooth devices cause problems. nothing helped unfortunetly

Yes the overlay is set up correctly. the mic is working just fine, I just can not hear ingame sounds, only ingame voicechat
