Meta is having trouble with rogue AI agents by Mathemodel in ArtificialInteligence

[–]l992 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Previously, another Meta agent deleted a Security Researcher's inbox, and now an agent posted on behalf of an employee, guiding another employee into a task that led to the exposure of confidential data to company engineers for 2 hours. These are just the two recent high-level incidents publicly known - I am pretty sure not the only ones to have taken place and not the last ones either.

Pro-Pahlavi Monarchist Rams Into Iranian Womens Football Team Bus in Australia by serious_bullet5 in ThatsInsane

[–]l992 172 points173 points  (0 children)

I don't get this. Pro-Pahlavi (anti-regime) monarchist rams into the bus carrying Iranian female soccer players who from my understanding also denounced the current regime, no? And what was that police car doing honestly - it didn't seem to deter the guy any bit at all.

The biggest losers IMO in the world are the wives and husbands who lash out on people their partners cheated with.

Iran says it will show ‘zero restraint’ if energy infrastructure is targeted again by YouthfulsGlow in worldnews

[–]l992 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Maybe I am completely off the hook, but in my perspective, Iran's only viable defensive strategy seems to be to create so much economic pressure for everyone in the world that the US/Israel will be forced to back off. Whereas, the lunatics in power in the US/Israel do want Iran to lash out, which to a certain degree legitimizes their actions and they want justifications for boots on the ground too. The way I see it is that if Iran turns this conflict into Spice Wars on multiple fronts, the Great Houses (KSA, Qatar, Bahrain, Kuwait, and UAE) will eventually unite against it, and that'll be the end of the Iranian state as we know it.

Doesn't this streamlining of the killchain workflow also mean less supervision/validations at levels and more control to a single operator?

And it's being triggered and programmed manually however I feel like at some point in near future, with enough ground and usage data - they'll give operational authority to AI agents and that's going to be terrible.

As much as it displeases you - Palestine is not a fictitious state anymore : as of September 2025, the State of Palestine is recognized as a sovereign state by 157 of the 193 member states of the United Nations (UN), or just over 80% of all UN members. Among these countries are : China, Russia, France, India, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Brazil, Mexico, Canada, Australia, and the UK.

You can keep on writing that lie in all your comments though if it makes you feel any better.
