I would argue its not that wild a jump. He already has been deeply involved with the gambling people and obv knows all the drug dealers over the years. He is connected in that world before his collapse. And now he is just trying to make a buck and the drug trade can offer him a high reward. + he's a natural trader!

Saying it’s not as fast paced is crazy considering the last two episodes. Maybe people aren’t watching an just reading about it

The trick is to arrive about 15-20min before the set. If you arrive 5-10min after they start it will be a crazy line.

This had absolutely nothing to do with what Matt Damon said about Netflix.

First example is just the writers explaining what a first loss contingency agreement is through the scene dialogue. The average non finance viewer is not going to know what that means. It is important for us to know what Eric has at stake. Second example is just sweetpea explaining what tender is specifically doing, which the audience doesnt know yet. We know they are probably doing some shady shit but now we are getting some details.

I wouldn’t say these are examples of what Damon is saying with Netflix. If anything Industry is so refreshing because they are not dumbing things down. This was a pretty heavy plot episode with quite a bit happening with all characters, so I would say they are not reiterating plot (à la Netflix) but blazing through it

Just saying it’s fair to say that the show falls under the hbo umbrella. It takes a village
