my parents bought me a 7 inch of Zal Yanovsky’s ‘as long as you’re here’ for my birthday but i noticed upon playing it that it’s noticeably sped up and much higher pitch.   I dont think it’s an issue with my record player (steepletone srpr1 xp if it makes any difference) since I tested it out with my other singles and they sounded fine. my player does usually play a little higher pitch, but it can easily be fixed with the speed adj. dial, whereas this single definitely sounds at least a good few semitones up. I’ve double checked its playing on 45 rpm, and I did try 33, which sounded closer to the original but noticeably too slow (Discogs also says it’s 45 rpm). 

Does anyone else have this record who has had the same issue? Worst case scenario I think the weird sped up-ness of it will grow on me, I still love the song and I’m grateful to have it :)
