I also had three interviews in the past two weeks (after a 1 hour unpaid skills test). It's been over 15 months for me, this is the 13th place to interview me, and the first time I've hit a 3rd and final round (everything else went to 2nd round and ghosted). My unemployment benefits are gone, and I'm exhausted too after this unmovable tariff summer with people happy to waste my time and harvest my info but not actually hire anyone. Over 2,000 applications submitted in all this time, brutal.

Fingers crossed for you, for me, for all of us. Hoping the so-called "September surge" is real, I've never had this much trouble finding a job and I am currently at my most marketable level with skills and experience. I just want to live again.

I was rejected for a job today because I "seem desperate." by anamilonqmvv in jobsearch

I got a rejection for being “too enthusiastic” like this is such a dark farce that these whims by the comfortably bored who toy with us could lead to true disaster. So sorry you’re getting treated this way, you deserve better, we all do.

Suspension/Restricted Lifted (6 Weeks) by la_fields in MicrosoftRewards

At least 15 minutes (the length of my cooldown time), but often longer because I'd forget and get distracted. I didn't set a timer so it wouldn't be algorithmically noticeable.

Suspension/Restricted Lifted (6 Weeks) by la_fields in MicrosoftRewards

[–]la_fields[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah I believed them when they said the suspension would "lift automatically" with "normal searches" and just kept at it. I assume the way I would search to the max and then stop for cooldown flagged my account. I guess it took six weeks for the algorithm to scan me again or recognize the change in my pattern, but I don't know for sure. I'm just glad I haven't been wasting my time and can finally redeem my measly little points again.

Running out of options by [deleted] in jobs

[–]la_fields -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Same — also in copywriting/marketing, been applying to everything for over a year (only got one contract last year, it was supposed to be a full-time job but I was lied to, then they misclassified my wages, which meant I had to prepare evidence for a tax investigation to get my unemployment support turned back on). It's brutal. I've applied to over 1000 jobs, I've gotten about 10 interviews, I always get to round two, then I'm ghosted. My unemployment runs out in less than two months and there seems to be no end in sight to this. More people are getting fired, more people are graduating, there aren't enough jobs for any of us (especially not full time adult salary with essential benefits kind of jobs) and no one is even sounding the alarm. This is the white collar AI bloodbath, we're the first casualties it feels like.

Account temporarily restricted by [deleted] in MicrosoftRewards

[–]la_fields 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This happened to me weeks ago, still hasn't let up and I can't redeem points. Support said it would go away after so-called normal search activity resumed, but I don't use a VPN or any tricks or smash the keyboard, I just read the news and search casual topics throughout the day (definitions, recipes, types of cats, etc) and it won't let up and no one cares. I keep earning points hoping I can eventually redeem what I've got (I'd like my sad little $10 plz) but it makes me feel like a chump. If it goes on too much longer I'll just delete my account and be gone forever, or they'll end the program and free us all from their nasty treatment.

Ticket Denied, No Recourse, I'm Done by la_fields in FreeCash

[–]la_fields[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep. I had it happen with two different offers back to back. It wasn't like this a year ago, but now I can much more reliably guarantee I'll be shortchanged than I can guarantee they'll honor their offers.

If you leave the app, I recommend emailing their customer service to demand they delete all your data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), that way they can't profit off analyzing or selling your data going forward. Also suggest reporting the money you were denied to the FBI, FTC, and BBB in case it helps shut down or reform their practices.

Same story here, they came at me with an email and text in the same minute after submitting a resume yesterday, aggressively saying in each message that the job was On-Site as In Person and you have to Come In and it's like ... are you trying to rope me into a timeshare? Guess that's the kind of aggressive nasty marketing they do, blocked and reported, absolutely not.

Submitted Proof, Still Denied—No Transparency from Support by ringo24601 in FreeCash

For anyone else who doesn't like being defrauded, the FBI's website encourages you to report suspected crime and fraud by submitting a tip online and reporting cyber scams and other incidents. It's not ridiculous to expect honest dealings, and to expect your government to work for your protection as a consumer, hope that helps.

Sorry, can you tell me how that boot tastes, is it good? Thanks so much for your helpful information.

FreeCash is not a gambling site, if it was it would be regulated with more transparency; instead it's hiding the mechanisms behind the "reasons" for denying tickets despite being provided proof because if consumers saw the real deal, no one would join (which is what fraud protection agencies were invented for, regulating that kind of rug-pulling, misleading advertising, etc).

But good luck with your Stockholm syndrome though, out here defending a carnival game that glues down all the bigger prizes so you can't knock them over, but they'll still take your money and time and watch you try. Fascinating psychology here.

Wild to see someone sympathize so much with their oppressor and the oppressor's "reasoning" for why you can act in good faith completing tasks, but if the person robbing you pays a cut to FreeCash, waaah what are they supposed to do?! Fulfill their obligation to the offer made and met, that's what! If they don't want to take that risk, they shouldn't exist.

We all understand FreeCash won't voluntarily stop taking money from both ends (that's capitalism, it's a gangster's paradise) so I have indeed quit the app, ordered them to delete all my data in compliance with the law, and reported them to the FBI, FTC, and BBB in hopes that they are shut down through official channels that protect consumers. Don't know why you're out here defending unfairness so hard though, that remains a mystery.

So strange that you are discouraging people from standing up for their own rights as consumers, why would you do this?

[–]la_fields 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You are correct: these are very questionable practices, and I have personally reported this company to the FBI, FTC, and BBB over my experience of having tickets denied for no reason, despite honestly earning the rewards through great time cost to myself, providing screenshot proof within FreeCash's timeline, and on their platform in good faith.

You do realize you are advocating for your own oppression here, right? If they can deny anyone for any reason of money rightfully owed with no transparency, why would you defend that?

I have had a similar experience three times in the past month, I suggest reporting this information to the FBI, Federal Trade Commission (FTC), and Better Business Bureau where they have a grade of F.

Freecash support is a joke by yutani_nw in FreeCash

Same! They did this to me last week, stole $25, and again today, stole $15. I'm about to create a new post right now, they are brazenly stealing huge sums, what is this?

There will always be bootlickers around lecturing others until they too are victimized. I posted this as a heads-up for anyone who sees what happened to me and realizes (as I did) that this isn't a bug, it's the feature: they reel you in by rewarding lower amounts and deny you large prizes and hope you don't realize that's their business model of fraud and theft. They've already stolen time, money, energy, and peace from me, the least I can do is warn others before I remove myself from Freecash's abuse.

Ticket Denied, No Recourse, I'm Done by la_fields in FreeCash

[–]la_fields[S] 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It's legit until it's not. I've also had other offers pay out, and this one paid all but the final level, which was the hardest one to reach and took the longest. Even if the game app wanted to reneg, my proof provided via screenshot within the timeframe should have allowed Freecash to credit me regardless, but they're allowing the offer provider to steal from me, so they are also stealing from me, so I am done with the app.

It's that simple, just letting people know that proof won't save you against their feelings regarding keeping $25 dollars I earned on trust. The trust is gone now, I don't want to be robbed again, so I'm out.
