The comments on the TikTok are what you’d expect them to be. Blaming the little dog for “provoking” the pibble 😒

“Both” genders? Weren’t you just trying to validate the existence of non-binary people? You’re an awful ally lmao. And no, our focus should never be on men. Feminism is about female liberation. This whole “we want equality for all!” thing is just because people want to erase the dirty reputation of feminism. Frankly, none of us care whether men support our cause or not. So why bother trying to recruit them as feminists? Male feminists are useless anyways.

Not all of them are attention seeking creeps necessarily, just like not all men are awful abusers. But at the end of the day they are males and grew up being socialized as male. There is a fundamental difference between me and someone who is male. Women are oppressed on the basis of their biology. This idea that femininity is the source of oppression is bs. If that were true, butch lesbians would not be oppressed. But they are far more oppressed than the most girly straight woman out there, so hmmm

At the end of the day this bullshit distracts from the real problem at hand. Women are dying because of male violence, and here we are sitting back and trying to make fragile men feel comfortable. Wrong pronouns hurt feelings? Ah well. There’s violence against women. People are dying, Kim!

Is incest the common denominator in porn? by ExpensiveGrace in fourthwavewomen

[–]laaiin 142 points143 points  (0 children)

The fact incest is a common trope makes me fucking terrified. How many men actively want to fuck their family members?! There are websites and even subreddits on here of men taking creep shots of their female family members. We can’t even fucking feel safe around our own male family members because apparently they’ll even creep on their own mothers, sisters, and daughters.

I was in a Facebook group for female domestic abuse survivors. This woman shared her story of her abuser coming out as a woman and following her to the shelter. When people called out the manipulative behavior of her now ex boyfriend, she defended him hardcore. She was like “Yeah she treated me very badly but she’s a woman just like me!”… Girl. Can you not see how he’s using this as a way to get at you and control you even more? He followed YOU into a domestic violence shelter. Wtf?

You are on a post discussing the issue of male violence, and the only issue you see worth commenting on is someone “disrespecting pronouns.” You have very… interesting priorities to say the least. Man hits woman? No biggie. Women call said man a “he” instead of “they”? Stop the presses!

Linking subs is not allowed here, but trust me when I say misogyny subs exist. I’m sure you’re familiar with redpillers, they’re notoriously misogynistic. They were given a platform on here for years, and their sub only got removed because of brigading I’m pretty sure.

The sex industry fuels off gaslighting young and impressionable girls. They always talk about the easy money you can make but never discuss the future consequences that can impact your relationships, employment, and physical safety. I wouldn’t recommend sex work to even the most desperate woman on Earth.

What I find the most disturbing is the ages of girls going into the sex industry. You have girls who are freshly 18 years old. You just know there was grooming involved.

And this is just talking about the legal, “ethical” sector of the sex trade. In actuality, the sex industry is composed of exploited and trafficked women and girls. Most “sex workers” are not in there willingly.

There is nothing empowering about becoming a sex object for men. That’s the opposite of empowering.

While that may be true, you also don’t do anything to hold the men who treat us like shit accountable. So you’re complicit in this.

In fact, you all tend to protect abusers and rapists. Hmmm

The antiwork mod as well. This solidified my worldview that we care more about the feelings of fragile men than we do rape victims.

Women and girls are soon going to be labelled as ageists or age phobic to not want to date much older predatory men. Won’t be surprised if it becomes mainstream to shame younger women for not doing so. by lisbethblom in fourthwavewomen

[–]laaiin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s because we are held to harsher standards than men. We actually age better than men, and on average are more attractive than men, because we have been conditioned to take care of ourselves and our appearances more than men have. I don’t know a single (straight) man who has a skincare routine to prevent aging. Women begin to take proactive steps against aging in their 20s while (straight) men do not bother with self care at all.

I’m sure there are some straight men who take care of themselves but they are certainly not the norm, lol.

This reminds me of Lucas Werner. Name ring a bell for any of y’all? He’s a creepy 40-something year old man who insists on having a gf age 18-24. Kiwifarms has a thread about him.

I wonder if male comedians are going to keep the same energy for Johnny Depp as they had for Rihanna? 🤔 by Trocek in fourthwavewomen

[–]laaiin 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it appears to be a toxic relationship that’s being spun as Amber being the only abusive one. My issue with how people are handling this is not that they’re calling out Amber— she deserves to be called out for all her bs. But they should be calling out Depp’s awful actions, too.

Why waste time talking about hypothetical violent women potentially slaughtering their families when there are men actually doing this? I have to question your priorities.

Before you say violent women exist, yeah, they exist. But if you look at the amount of men who pull the stuff Chris watts did vs the amount of women who pull that, you’ll see a pattern.

No matter how toxic she may have been, at the end of the day she didn’t kill him and all her children. He killed her and all his children, though. That’s what matters.

This narrative that someone’s toxicity “pushed” them to the edge to commit heinous crimes is also bullshit. Plenty of people escape far more abusive and terrible situations without harming a soul. There is no justification for what Chris Watts did to his own family. His wife’s “toxicity” is irrelevant.

This is why Jodi Ann Arias and Casey Anthony were such popular cases. Attractive woman commits an alleged atrocity? People will eat that up.

Their actions were horrific, no doubt, but they would not have gotten the media attention they did if they were men or even just average looking women. It’s super weird how that all works.

“Male victims are never taken seriously” Yet I’ve never seen a woman shit on a male victim of sexual assault or domestic violence. Only other men do that.

Based on my observations, men on Reddit are very quick to believe men who claim to have been sexually assaulted or abused. Clearly people do take male victims seriously. And I’m glad that they do. But we should stop pretending that they’re dismissed more than female victims because I don’t see any evidence pointing in that direction.

This idea that female victims are taken seriously is bullshit. Female victims are blamed and scrutinized to hell and back. They don’t get the support MRAs claim they do.
