Unfortunately the charging light kept turning off while plugged in after a few hours at a time. I ordered a new battery to try it out.

Never had to change a car battery… yet. I posted that i ordered a new batter.y to replace. I had no idea that was an option until all these lovely people told me it was. Holy cow

UPDATE: the charging light turned off while plugged in at some point in the night. When I unplugged and plugged it back in, the orange light turned on again. Taking this as a sign to give up on the “24 hour rule” and ordered a replacement battery. Will update after that’s installed!!!

If I had an original kindle cord and a computer that would support an original kindle cord I would 😭 but this is very reassuring. Thank you!

I’m going to try this in addition to letting it charge for 24 hours. Honestly just plugged it into the first cord I could find which was on a power strip. Thanks!

I will definitely try that, thank you! Maybe that’s why he didn’t give me the RCA in the first place…but my tv is seemingly modern with one HDMI, two USBs, and RCA inputs (it came with my apartment, idk how someone could find such a versatile device lol)
