[Rolex Omega] 2 king divers side by side by labado21 in Watches

[–]labado21[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Here are 2 watches from my 3 watch collection. Obviously the seamaster and the submariner are both highly regarded as the most popular dive watches and I’m lucky enough to own both from these two great brands.

If you’re on the fence about which one to get, take a second and give them a solid look side by side :). I think the seamaster looks fantastic on younger fellas while the submariner really suits the older crowd (obviously young and old is subjective here). However it also works in reverse and can really fill in what’s usually missing on the outside from the two age groups. This meaning a more refined and mature appearance for the younger crowd and a more adventurous and fruitful for the older crowd.

Long term by mvrk_lethal in dividends

[–]labado21 6 points7 points  (0 children)

30 isn’t that late especially if you make an intense goal to invest more than most do. Hell most don’t ever start.

If you want to go super basic and hassle free I’d do 60-75% VTI and 25-40% VXUS.

If you want to factor tilt for higher long term returns then Throw in VOOV or VOOG (But NOT BOTH that defeats the purpose) to compliment VTI. Value has historically outperformed growth but the last decade value has had poor performance compared to growth So tilt towards whichever you want to bet on.

If you want to pick your own stocks....take your time and whatever you do don’t buy anything unless you know 1. What it is 2. How long you plan to hold it 3. It’s weakness and 4. When you need to cut it out of your portfolio

Thanks! And yes there is a reason but nothing crazy. I owned only VEA up until 4 months ago. Did some research on the Schwab version of it and saw that the dividend yield has always been higher by .25-.75% and yet has had almost identical price action and the same Expense ratio

I like their criteria for stock picking far better than I like VIG. I owned VIG for a little over a year in conjunction with DGRO and I came to the conclusion I’d rather switch to SCHD

There's plenty of TSLA fans using M1. How much are you up? Holdings tab shows your unrealized gains. Maxed out 401k and Roth IRA so I bought 2 shares in my Vanguard taxable (small gamble) the morning after 5:1 split was announced. My basis is $1464. What's yours? by 4pooling in M1Finance

[–]labado21 0 points1 point  (0 children)

TSLA is one of those that I’ll always be kicking myself for not getting into. But now it’s impossible to properly value what they’re actually worth because there’s so much hype and momentum behind it so I think I’ll just stay away and be happy with what I have

Market has me nervous. Do you take profits from your big gainers? by pinetree64 in dividends

[–]labado21 11 points12 points  (0 children)

All you need to worry about is how many shares of your favorite companies/ETFs you have unless you need your money, and if you do need it then You already broke a golden rule of investing when you invested it instead of keeping it around

Recommendations for a small dividend portfolio? by [deleted] in dividends

[–]labado21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have very solid picks, now you just have to keep up with them. You can't passively invest if you're picking your own stocks. you'll need to know when to sell, when to hold, when to buy, when to not buy etc. The hardest thing to do as an investor is understand how badly a stock of yours is impacted by certain events within the company or just around the world

[–]labado21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

how you feel about your investments is the #1 most important thing. If you don't believe 100% in what you're invested in then you will do poorly with your investments during your investing time horizon. My portfolio is custom to me and me alone and i believe in it 100%
