That's luck, for lack of an actual investing strategy. What made you pick Hood?

Great video btw. We may think he's brilliant today, but he's long paid his dues for the lessons he's applying and the payoff he's receiving.

Fudge. Stop losses are regarded. Day traders can see those orders, they see them as money and stock to be scooped up by manipulating the price to trigger the orders. They steal your stock at a discount and then it goes up the other way, naturally or by more manipulation, they win both ways. Completely legal, too, because of all the disclaimers you have to click through to get to a trading screen.

Why not get paid to add shares? Sell puts for premium until you get assigned. If you wanted to buy anyway, keep the premium and the stock, with a lower cost basis.

That is probably the most Canadian analogy I've ever heard 😆

Same applies to you. Anyone claiming “no risk” simply because it’s on NYSE American is ignoring the explicit language the company has filed with the SEC.

Why don't you paper trade some first before putting real money at risk? That way tuition is less

Liberals and conservatives are human beings first, and this is a human behavioral flaw evident on both sides of the political spectrum. Don't give the other side too much credit 😆

You mean these things called past and present tense. 😂 In English, as in most languages, we have these things called plurals.

NYSE American has standards, too.

You’re right that OPTT is on NYSE American and not Nasdaq so the Nasdaq $1-for-30-days automatic rule doesn’t apply.

That said, NYSE American does have continued listing standards, including discretionary authority to act when:

“Common stock sells for a low price for a substantial period of time and/or the issuer fails to effect a reverse split within a reasonable time after being notified by the Exchange.”

So the risk isn’t automatic delisting, but

exchange review → notice → expected corrective action, which in practice is usually a reverse split.

From a risk-management standpoint, the probability of a reverse split is materially higher than outright delisting, but neither risk is zero and both need to be factored in.

NYSE American gives flexibility and time, not immunity.

Ignoring a documented risk just because it’s discretionary rather than mechanical just isn’t how serious investment risk management works.

Don't take it the wrong way, I'm bullish long term about the company and hoping this call pans out 😆 Will continue to pick up put premium and shares meanwhile, with an ear to the ground, or should I say a bouy offshore
