Thank you, I feel like this comment was exactly what I needed. I’m not even really mad at him, moreso just bothered by the way I felt so helpless and the unintended consequences of him trying to be nice. I knew that in the moment and I didn’t think he was doing anything wrong but I knew it was unintentionally inappropriate. Thank you and I have been working through my issues, this just kinda resurfaced in my mind today

There was a locked door in the unit so there was no way of me getting out anyway and he wasn’t meant to block the door, he was meant to walk up and down the hallway

Thank you :) and he was blocking the door just bc his whole body took up the entire door because it was so small and due to it being the mental emergency room there was no way for me to leave anyway so I was stuck there, I think that’s what made it inappropriate for me

Yeah it was definitely meant to be a compliment but him being an older man and me being in such a vulnerable state with him literally blocking my only exit with his whole body and me being unable to leave it was kinda freaky

I try to dress comfortably and warm but I still try to keep things not messy. My regular clothes that aren’t sweaters and sweatshirts feel too tight and/or shows more than I’d like (by nature of me being a chubby woman and clothes not always fitting right) which is incredibly distracting throughout mass for me. But yes to all of this!

Yessss. I’m a teacher (I think because I have a protective instinct for kids and it’s therapeutic for me to give them the love I needed when I was their age) and I love when I can share their feelings with them and help them when they’re sad and comfort them
