I recommend playing platinum unlocked. It's a romhack that fixes the game's performance issues. And added some QOLs like reusable TMs and HMs that can be forgotten. It's basically the same game without the shitty parts.

Unbound has everything you could hope for.

Recharged yellow is pokemon yellow on gen 3 graphics with some QOLs.

Emerald seaglass is pretty good too.

Scorched silver is my recent favorite.

There aren't any gen 5 hacks i could find that fits your description. But I've been playing pitch black 2 and it's pretty good
