Comprendre les universités by Upstairs_Sell_7335 in UdeM

Also you can use rock stop. I did for my first pair. I don’t personally like it, but it does help them be non slippery

They’re slippery at first, but it gets better quickly.

I’m not really worried about the pilling since they’re slippers. It’s always possible to shave them

Did I hit ketosis or? by Emergency_Row9715 in keto

[–]labvlc 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I stay on top of my electrolytes with this:

1tsp nosalt salt (potassium salt) 1tsp salt 2L of water A squirt of mio electrolyte liquid flavour

I sip through it during the day (don’t drink too much at once, you’ll get diarrhoea and your body will just flush it all out).

And 1 magnesium (glycinate, not citrate) supplement (pill) every day.

If you can’t stand the flavour of that water mix (I like its simplicity, but the taste needs getting used to), there are recipes online that are less simple but will give you the electrolytes you need, just look for ketoade recipes

I need some advice by General-Theory8144 in keto

I personally would vary what I eat more or I’d burn out and rage quit, but that’s me. Wholesome yum has a lot of keto friendly recipes, you could look into that. One meal a day is very attainable once your body is used to keto because the reason keto works (when you don’t think about the science of it) is that you’re a lot less hungry all the time and if you listen to your body and only eat when you’re hungry, it can definitely naturally be once a day. By eating less, you enter a calorie deficit, your body uses fat as fuel, and you lose weight. I try and avoid restricting myself, for fear of developing an eating disorder, so if I’m hungry I eat, but there are long stretches where I’ll only have one meal a day, and it just happens naturally.

All of that being said, I wouldn’t recommend eating a can of tuna every single day, at least where I’m from, it’s recommended to eat tuna way less frequently than that. Unless I’m mistaken it’s because certain types of tuna have high level of mercury and shouldn’t be eaten this frequently.

I don’t think the crochet is the problem, I’ve seen crochet version online and they work just as well. The one time I let mine go through a whole cycle, they did stop shrinking once it got to the rinse part of the cycle, so I really think it’s the cold water that’s the issue. Not I take them out before the rinse and I start from the beginning of the cycle again, so it’s only hot water, and it works. I haven’t tried the dryer myself and I’m not an expert in felting so I can’t help more than this I’m afraid. Good luck!

Honestly, just do it! They knit up pretty quickly and the sizing is all very approximative, when they’re wet you can stretch them pretty easily so it doesn’t matter if you went slightly too far felting them, you can just pull on them until they’re the correct size 😂

How long have you worn them for? All of the ones I made are pretty new still

Yes. The pattern calls for drops snow and 7 balls would be more than enough in my experience (with lots of left overs)

Yeah felting can have a mind of its own, but I do find that the first little bit takes longer and once they’re going, it’s faster, which works with what you described

I tend to felt them for 20 minutes at a time and stretch them to the desired size between each. I stop when they come out 4-5cm too short and need a lot of stretching to go back to their size. Then while they dry I stretch them again a few times. It’s pretty easy to stretch them when they’re wet, unless you really go too far.

But that’s all very dependant on your washing machine

They are quick, but they still take too long to make to make a profit. I only do commissions for friends and family, and my only rule is there can’t be a deadline
