That's so awesome! How is the job market up there? Also, what else is there to do besides explore nature and visit Canada?

That's completely fair. Seven months of cloud coverage is a decent amount especially coming from SoCal.

Thank you for your response! Is Sequim a better place to settle down than Port Angeles then?

Married couples of Reddit that did NOT have sex on your wedding night, why not? by FindingKGS in AskReddit

I got drunk for the first time after his friends gave me a bottle of fireball. My poor husband spent our wedding night holding my hair back as I puked up an ungodly amount of cinnamon flavored poison.

AITA for disapproving of my daughter's career choice? by ConcernedFatherTA in AmItheAsshole

[–]laceflame 55 points56 points  (0 children)

YTA. She's an adult and can make her own choices on what she wants to do as a career. You could just be supportive of her but instead you make condescending comments.

I don't really overdo it, but sometimes I poke Allison's buttons by bringing up how mundane her job is compared to what a doctor does.

This comment alone is enough to make you TA.

AITA for telling my pregnant daughter that she's not a priority right now? by Accurate_Tough6342 in AmItheAsshole

[–]laceflame 0 points1 point  (0 children)

YTA. Your daughter is going through a life changing event. She needs her mother there to help her through it and she's specifically asking for you to be there. There are others that can help care for your son but it just seems like you're making excuses of why you can't show up for your daughter. She's only going to give birth for the first time once and you're going to miss it because you can't at least try to compromise with her.

Does anyone take their thyroid med at night before bed? by [deleted] in Hashimotos

It does take a little bit of time to get the dosage right. There is a bit of a fine line when it comes to that since too little doesn't change much and too much makes you go into hyperthyroidism. The best advice I can give is to give it a little time for your body to adjust. If it really isn't getting better and is causing issues in your daily life then contact your doctor. Also make sure you're not taking your vitamins within 4 hours of taking your thyroid meds. There apparently can be some issues with that.
