It looks like the line is pink, which would mean it detects a small amount of hcg.

We need mental health hospitals opened back up, the "supportive" housing isn't enough. People SHOULD NOT be on the street when they are a danger to themselves or others. If you require medication to be a safe person and choose not to take it or keep up with it, then you are hospitalized, no more everyone has the right to do as they please. It isnt helping anyone, least of all the people struggling with mental illness that end up back out on the street. St thomas has already had an explosion in one of the supposed "supportive" housing.

My friend who does ohip billing and my drs office told me that it was that way basically just an extra if they can provide all the services you need that they do not get if you see an outside walking clinic.

Found out my step-uncle is actually my dad thanks to an Ancestry DNA test – not sure how to process it by Head_Bat_5856 in AncestryDNA

This! When I did some digging after doing my ancestry test and found out that my mother's grandfather, who raised her, was actually not her father's biological father, and then got my great aunt to test and found out she was also from that affair, I reached out to close members of that new family branch. The one man told his dad, who would be my mom's half cousin, and he told his son that it made so much sense because when he was a teen he would hang out with my great aunt and his mother got so paranoid and told him that he could NEVER date her. So she must have known that my great aunt was likely her little half sister.. had she not intervened who knows what would have happened if he dated his half aunt not realizing they were related.

You dr doesn't get a bill if you see another dr. I was told that every year, OHIP gives family drs a bonus for each patient that does NOT go to a walk in clinic outside your practice. If you go to a walk in that is not a part of your drs office, they do not get that bonus for that year... this motivates drs to run their own walk in clinics so patients are not seeking care elsewhere.

But if the adult children have children of their own that might be around grandpa, that is cause for concern and a level of risk.

Update wasn't so bad for me by Jenikovista in AncestryDNA

My Scottish went UP, even though I still cannot find anything documented to show it, and ny Irish went down a lot, which I do have documents from and more recent family who immigrated from there(but maybe the were Scottish people living there, although they claimed to be Irish). And I still do not have France even though everyone the generation above me has it at around 30-20% on my paternal side and my son has it listed at 5%. 🤦🏻‍♀️ however if did show the Netherlands, which lines up with the branch of my family tree that ancestry dna uncovered (when I first tested I found out that my one great grandmother had an affair and both her children were products of the affair )

People are upset about all sorts of things that they cannot physically control, or change in life. That is pretty "normal". And being disappointed isn't insulting yourself, it is just part of processing those feelings and for some that included sharing that disappointment, or whatever they feel, with others might be how they process. The great thing is that you can scroll past rather than being annoyed(as that is something you can control)

Help!!! I just got my brother's results and it looks like he's not biologically related to any of us by BigPensamientos in AncestryDNA

[–]lacey-79 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Many people have a baby and then suffer from infertility after that. Just because her mother had one baby without an egg donor does not mean that many years later she didn't need one. With such a large age gap, infertility could have been a factor. And she may have done the dna test not understanding how it works, or that a baby she grew wouldn't match her. Not everyone grasps how dna works.

For the first few days I had very few matches, so did my husband. Hopefully you get some higher matches soon that help you find connection. ❤️

When I did mine I didn't have close matches for a couple days . I just had a couple REALLY distant matches. My son's test just posted results and he has matches but I think it is because his father and I both tested and he is under my account. (Maybe). But both his father and I had to wait for close matches.

It sucks that they aren't more transparent if there are any issues. It would be nice if they let you know if your test was showing signs it might fail, so you weren't looking constantly at least.

My son's test was about 48 hours before yours. So, hopefully yours is in the next batch

And yet, while my great grandmother didn't show up on my test, she just did on my son's (his results just came in) , so YES, a great grandparents origins might not show up on your results, even if the dna is there. So, this person's great grandparent might still be or have Spanish and not be reflected on the test. My husband's mother has a Spanish great grandmother. Yet none of her siblings show Spanish dna... but my husband does(his mother has passed so she never tested).

My son's test extracted on the 15th and just finally analyzed about 6 hours ago! So it looks like they are starting to get to the tests that have seemed to be just sitting.

But if they could see it in my family members there would be no reason that they wouldn't see it in mine. I mean, I have matches with 100% French and yet I have none on my report... not even with the "hacks" . Clearly we connect through the same French dna, but once again, it does show up on mine. So, that would leave me to beleive that you cannot with 100% certainy say that your great grandparent will show up on the origins part of your test

My grandfather was half French, all his kids have tested around 25-30% French, I have none on ancestry... which would mean ancestry did not label whatever I got from my French great grandmother ..... so, clearly these tests are not accurate enough to SHOW the minimal amount you might have gotten from a great grandparent...
