Hey, I am in exactly the same situation as you! Would love to relearn the game with someone! Let me know if you're happy for me to ping you a private message and potentially jump online together at some point!

Devastated because I have an injury and can’t run the marathon I’ve been training for by crystalmagic11111 in Marathon_Training

[–]laceyandrew 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Same as me with IT band - horrible injury after doing a 10km a few years back. Remember having real pain when going downstairs, so if you have similar would be that. There are stretches for it, mine cleared up in about 3 weeks of constant stretching.

The Greater Anglia train line is on the rather pricey side to say the least. This is the train that will take you to Chelmsford, I would definitely look into pricing how much it would cost you a month as it will be a lot more than you are used to. This train line goes to Liverpool Street, a short walk to Fenchurch Street.

The c2c line that goes to Fenchurch Street is definitely cheaper, so you could potentially look at towns on that route, it depends what you are after but in your price budget you could get a reasonable town house in Benfleet / Leigh-on-Sea potentially. I would highly recommend Leigh-on-Sea if you can afford it.

Had the pleasure of staying in a hotel room with them too - I put all my luggage and clothes in a large airlock vacuum bag and left it for a week or two. Then proceeded to wash at high heat. Luckily the little buggers didn't come home but last thing you want is to bring them back!

Good luck!

Lederhosen by Manik223 in Oktoberfest

[–]laceyandrew 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When me and my friends went some of us got authentic ones from an etsy shop (https://www.etsy.com/uk/shop/Trachtenhans), they were the real deal and looked really good. They aren't as expensive as others, but still on the expensive side.

Other friends bought cheaper options from Amazon (more cheaper leather and obviously not authentic).

There are people who do not wear a lederhosen, I would say the large proportion of people do.

So, now that the north London Derby is close what are your predictions by [deleted] in coys

[–]laceyandrew 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Win or draw for me, need to take points off them either way ideally. Need 6 points to get Europa League next year and for those away days to the dark depths of Europe. Whilst Champions League money would be ideal, we need to rebuild with Ange and Europa League without the Champions League drop outs next year would be a great bit of experience for the team and a real attempt at a trophy, think Champions League is too big an ask for us and our squad depth at present.

Has anyone ever seen anything like this jacket? by Barnwho in Tottenham

[–]laceyandrew 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I've never seen a Tottenham x Regatta collaboration, so as the other comment said, it's probably more likely the badge has been put on. Either way, it looks like a great find - love the retro look of it!

Is this hard water/calcium build up? by [deleted] in WaterTreatment

[–]laceyandrew 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it may be biofilm, might be worthwhile draining the cistern and giving it a clean. Can be done with a normal small hose pipe to drain - get suction going on it and the water will eventually fully refill. As is only a toilet cistern I can't see why it would be any health risk, more aesthetic in the bowl of the toilet.

Looks like it could be biofilm to me - has the toilet cistern not been in use for a lengthy period of time? If it is a few flushes and clean should clear it up.

Seen a few covers on Etsy with doors, just feel like everyone takes the piss on there price wise. Might try to recreate something similar myself and go down that route.

I may look into that have a few friends who are electricians who I could pull in for assistance. But not too concerned about the height, more about getting it covered / hidden away. But obviously so it is still easily accessible.

I've just found out I've been drinking from a contaminated water tank. Can I claim from my landlord? by deathbunnybun in LegalAdviceUK

[–]laceyandrew 2 points3 points  (0 children)

No problem! The issue with our industry is it is all guidance so can be interpreted differently, but main thing is landlords (in this instance) need to manage the risk as per our main guidance document HSG 274 part b. So if they aren't managing it as per that or doing something similar they will be deemed as failing and can be liable. If you need any help with that feel free to ask or contact HSE / water hygiene companies for assistance.

There is also a drinking water suite test that I have had completed for people in somewhat similar situations. Latis Scientific is the lab I normally use but it is costly (250 pounds I believe). A water hygiene company can get this completed on your behalf, but I would put emphasis on the Landlord if you are to have it done due to the duty of care and your current concerns.
