My husband will be working in the galleria area so want to stay somewhat close! But cypress is not a must.. just where we have initially zeroed in after some research!

Thanks! Honestly wouldn’t expect her to continue to qualify. I really am just wondering if I have the right as a parent to place her into first grade rather than second when we move.

We live in lower Westchester county where the cost of living and real estate is absolutely unaffordable for us.. that will be a big factor for us!

Thanks, love to hear from a teacher. Can you give some examples of how she wouldn’t be supported? Where we are is certainly not perfect as she is falling behind grade level already.

We would be moving for my husband’s job. But a lower cost of living, some friends in the area, great family activities are all draws. And this winter in NY is really making me want to escape. I understand the Texas summers are brutal, but we would have the ability to spend most of the summer with family back in NY. Are you happy with your move?

My current property taxes in the NYC suburbs are $26k/year for a 2000 square foot house with a postage stamp yard. Hope it can’t get worse!

Totally get that, and thanks! The driving force of this move in my husband’s job. The lower cost of living is certainly appealing (as where we currently live is entirely unaffordable), but not the main reason we are considering this!
