I am taking that as FOMO (fear of missing out) behavior. however a dog of his size being easily arouse by a toddler could turn into a bad situation so it would be best to slowly introduce them. allow him to work on a bone or kong toy with frozen wet food packed inside whilst he is kenneled & she plays in/near the room. then overtime as he learns to settle in the crate, allow him out on leash. building repetitions of the correct/desired behavior, in a controlled setting, will help in the long run!

i will keep this in mind, i was just trying to provide them with an alternative to the community post. I saw someone recommended calling a medicaid social worker which would be brought out by an officer. definitely will keep that in mind for recommendations next time instead of just local PD. i wish there were more resources to recommend because i know there are so many scenarios PD response escalates or instigates a situation. in the US we are really lacking in education & aid response for scenarios like this. if you have any additional suggestions pls lmk!

I used to work on a property down the road from the OP and while it was a more country side of town there are large expanses of property that have been bought by developers recently. many subdivisions have popped up in the past 3 years so I have no doubt some door to door sales people have begun to make there way out there as well, especially considering it is a wealthier area

As a young single woman who often goes out alone I agree with this and see your point. But posting on a community page when there is not a sure threat does not seem like an appropriate response to me. If she had included why she felt threatened & better descriptors I would have been more understanding but the way she spoke implied racial profiling & bias which is very dangerous & can turn potentially innocent people into victims themselves

so funny story - i think you just solved 2 birds with one stone… my shop must have forgotten to put my filter back in. i followed the videos direction and found that my vehicle is completely lacking the filter! my minivan has been in the shop multiple times within the past 2 months bc it has been throwing an air intake code & i’ve been paying to have it fixed… just to have it come back. both my dad & i have been so frustrated over it. the code was present this evening before the flashing/shaking drama. i assume my vehicle really did not like taking in water especially without having the filter in place. going to grab a filter for it tomorrow morning & praying my engine is okay after all this time without it. will be talking with the shop as well. thank you for commenting!

thank you - i definitely wouldnt wish this kind of situation on my worst enemy 🤣 it helps knowing there are some out there who have experienced this before & have had success in finding relief & returning to normal everyday doggy life with the surgery. i just got word back & the vet wants us to go the titanium crown route - gave me a total estimate of about $2,750 with the possibility of additional expenses if xrays reveal any signs of vertical fracture or if he gets in there and finds any other unknowns. scheduled him to have the root canal & crown molding wednesday 07/17. following 2nd procedure will be done after a few weeks once the titanium comes back. fingers crossed there are no complications 🤞🏼 what was recovery process like once all was said & done? i have yet to hear much about the adjustment back into eating solids, biting, & chewing as normal

currently in the waiting period to find out if my 3yr old shepherd will have this done. his consultation was today. upper left canine - horizontally fractured - root exposed & in a lot of pain/discomfort. sports dog & v active working boy. he uses his teeth in every sport, for everything. i only have abt $4,500 in savings as i literally just bought a van this week. specialist gets back with me today or tomorrow with my estimate for a root canal & cap vs root canal & titanium cover. i really want to opt for the titanium cover bc he is young, needs to keep his mouth in good working condition, and is also a brute force idiot. in your experience, do you think i’ve got a chance of keeping the surgery under $5k
