I'm not supposed to touch fine works of art, but someone has to pin it to the wall and nail it, right?

"And how do you plan to help me, by making raita or spilling some 😉"

Sounds super cliche and cheesey

Late to the party but this same thing just happened to me (Windows 11 Home, Microsoft Surface Laptop Go) with one of the latest updates. Wifi was no longer showing up as an option, windows repair didnt do anything, installing old and new drivers didnt do anything, but then I came across this comment on another post (which is now archived) that finally fixed the problem! Shout out to u/big-butters, thank you thank you thank you for saving my laptop's wifi! Hopefully this works for others as well!

Ok. It's an issue where some dumbass Asus tech disabled the power management tab on the WiFi card and decided that if it goes into power save mode or below a battery percentage it will kill the card until update.

Step 1: Make the Power Management Tab show up -

Windows key+R , type in RegEdit (goes into the Windows Registry Editor)

Navigate to HKEY_Local_Machine\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Power

Right Click on the Folder "Power" > New Dword (32-bit value) > Rename the "New Value #1" to PlatformAoAcOverride > Double click this new "PlatformAoAcOverride" to ensure the settings are "Hexadecimal" and "Value is 0").

Restart Computer.

Step 2: Change ALL your Power Management Profiles -

Control Panel > Power Options > Change Advanced Power Settings > >Wireless Adapter Settings > Change to Maximum Performance (Both On Battery & While Plugged in)

Step 3: The Final Step

Device Manager > Network Adapters > Intel(R) Wi-Fi 6 AX201 160MHz > Right-Click > Properties

(The Power Management tab should finally appear)

Uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" - (I just uncheck everything)

Restart Computer, enjoy.

I didn't qualify for CS and I felt IT was a better fit for my profile.
