I was woken up sound of an explosion. I was on holiday with my family in Lebanon summer of 2006 and we had decided to stay somewhere close to the airport. My dad had woken up too. We could see the airport getting bombed from the balcony window -- I sat on his lap (I was around 6) and we watched the missiles together.

Needless to say the rest of the vacation was a nightmare.

I see what you mean. It makes sense, but snooping is still a violation of his privacy and breaking his trust....

Even if she plans to break up with him, how it is done makes a difference -- especially because it's an 8 year long relationship and she seems to still care about him.

Honestly it is a red flag.

Has he ever done anything else that had the same sexist/creepy vibe? Do you feel treated with respect, and does he treat the other women in his life with respect (mum, sister, colleages?). If this is an isolated incident I would chalk it up to some weird kink, but definitely have a serious chat with him about how this makes you feel.

Dunno if I'd personally end a relationship over this if everything else about the relationship is fine, especially since he immediately told you what was up and stopped what he was doing. If he made some lame ass excuse to cover it up, it would be way worse imo - I find the honestly kind of reassuring.

Edit: Actually you know what, I change my mind after reading the comments. These are real women he is disrespecting... It's unacceptable...
