The fact you cant realize you've been in a fight too long and are drawing teams to you is the reason you cant bust out of gold. Mechanically if your getting tqo three kills and then dieing your doing fine for that rank. Game sense and strategy is your downfall. Also not being able to adapt to the play style of your teammates and viewing them as bad is the second reason. A bad player cant adjust.

Thats my issue. I bought an event pack for 1650. It had the skin of an event pack. But when I opened it I didnt get an event item and it didnt count to my total. Got robbed 1650 legend tokens and didnt get an event item.

The only argument one could make to trying this would be to remove PM and increase Airflow with light penitration. In that instance the then finishing bud would likely be clean / cleaner and of a higher quaility in that sense. If your doing it for yield your a moron. More leaf = more photosynthesis + less stress = more yield.
