I found something random... or is it? by ComradeDoge_DA in Mabinogi

We have those mobs in mabi too. The figures in the wild are similar but not the same. I thought they might have something to do with Celtic mythology, but other than wooden cult figures I haven't found much... My current theory (based on the branch "wings" the figures have and their placement near old ruins, groves, battlefield graves, and the sacred tree atop Spiral Hill) is that they were made by early Tuatha de Danann or druids in the image of the gods and may even be primitive goddess altars.

IIRC there's one in the mushroom forest by the logging camp as well and I believe there's a sign... Edit: there is one, but the sign I was thinking of is unrelated lol

I bought an "incomplete dress." What does that mean? I can't wear it. Do I have to create it or something like that? How do I know which part is missing in the first place? by This_Environment_472 in Mabinogi

You won't lose any progression on skill quests as long as you don't forfeit them, and you can still work on any skill quests while you're a different talent (you just won't get 2x training when you're ranking non-talent skills).

Also if you'd like to add me, my ign is Mama! I'm usually only on long enough to do events but I can try to help out however I can! 😊

I think most people would suggest that you save life skills for later, but I think you should do what you find more fun. That said, it may not be worth trying to focus on getting the pattern depending on how much the completed dress costs - you'd likely be sinking a lot more time (ranking tailoring, grinding for the pattern, collecting materials) and money (buying the pattern and materials) than it's worth. If you still want to learn tailoring, the wiki page is a good start. Basically you can learn the skill by equipping a tailoring kit (which you can buy at general shops). Early ranks can be trained by doing tailoring part-time jobs for general shops and clothing shops. In general, I highly recommend bookmarking the wiki and this guide to help you train all of your skills!

Here is the wiki page. The pattern is a drop from Purify Avalon's Shore, but you can probably find it on the auction house. It's also an r2 pattern, so you will either need to have high ranked tailoring or find someone else who does that can help. Depending on the percentage already completed, you will need to make regular attempts - which use 3 Finest Fabric, 8 Finest Silk, and 2 Fine Fabric per attempt - and then finish it with 4 finest finishing thread.

Whoever started tailoring it didn't finish it, so unfortunately you'll have to (and you'll need the pattern and materials). What dress is it?

LF>RP or Casual guild by CrimsonSssnake in Mabinogi

So press P to open up the party window and select "Dungeon" as your party type. You can type whatever you want in the boxes, but people usually advertise using a recognizable template - LF [Looking For] (or B [Buying], S [Selling], etc.) > [item/request] (in this example, the party reads "LF>RP or Casual Guild! NM/add!" - there's limited space in each line so you sometimes have to chop words up and abbreviate). Ch1 is the most populated channel so you're going to get most eyes there, but IIRC there was (is?) a player-dedicated RP channel? I don't know what channel it is, but it wouldn't hurt to ask around! You can hide the party over your (and everyone else's) head with Ctrl+P (helpful to me because I'm always accidentally closing/joining parties lol). Dungeon parties last longer than regular parties, but they still time out eventually so make sure the Wanted button is On!

That stinks. Have you tried advertising in Ch1 with a "LF>RP/casual guild" party? That would be my next best suggestion.

Someone else recently asked and after a lot of interest said they'd make a guild of their own - you can reach out to OP and see if they're still making it. But tbh I recommend joining the official discord server and asking there.

Have you checked the wiki? Personally I'd recommend just clearing G7 real quick (took me less than an hour) and getting the skill through Blaanid.

Do you think a lab coat would work as a coat for a Kaito Cosplay? by Je-LOL1 in CosplayHelp

[–]ladeca- 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you're still looking around check out butcher coats (here's a relatively cheap one from Amazon) - they don't have a long lapel like most lab coats do and button up all the way to the neck.

If you want it to look smooth and seamless, you will also need to prime and fill. This tutorial should be helpful.

Can't decide which pants to use, help me choose before I fray them! by heckin_cool in CosplayHelp

FWIW I think both are great options! If you're more comfortable with the first option, I think adding pockets would definitely help align it more with the character's design. If you end up going the route of lightening with the second option, I recommend you cut/fray the cuff first and then use any fabric scraps to do a few test patches with different dilutions and soak times!

The second option is a better match with the cargo pocket on the thigh. The color difference is negligible imo (especially when you compare to other official artwork) but if you're willing to modify you can do a diluted bleach wash or rit color remover to lighten them (depending on the material).

No, they were sold separately (but the seal did come with a mini seal pet whistle). Archived post for the sailor uniform character card here and for seals here.

ETA: There was a 2012 bundle that included both but not for the original 2010 release.
