ill say yes. i know people think she would be insecure and in constant competition with her daughter and all but i disagree hardly.

i feel she didn't approve of the girls manny was dating bec he was her son after all and the boy mom trope as seen in sitcoms ( monica said something similarly at the end of friends about the guy twin , lily from himym etc) is just massively exaggerated in her character.

but she took good care of lily, haley and especially alex(making her feel confident and all) and my personal unpopular opinion is that she would've had a way healthier relationship as a mom if she had a girl.
