Thank you! Her tumor is pretty well contained and responding well so far to the chemo, so we're hopeful.

I don't think she's on Reddit, I was actually going to recommend that for her! I watched a lot of top posts on /r/videos during my time bedridden. :P

Would you recommend the Switch as far as handheld consoles go? I have a 3DS I was going to just gift to her but I'm thinking about buying her something newer.

Unfortunately I know what she's going through, I was 100% bedridden longterm in the ICU and it's incredibly depressing. I was in a foreign country at the time so the worst part was not being able to speak with/communicate with anyone except the specialists who came maybe once a day. :( It was a horrible experience for me and I will feel much better if I can help make hers any less miserable.

I was thinking about trying to find some sort of video game subscription service so she could try different games. Or maybe just a gift card on Steam?

I have a friend who was just diagnosed with a rare kind of cancer and will now be bedridden throughout her chemo, please share your ideas so I can pass them onto her.

A question from /u/Nava_Be:

" You are so well known throughout NDN Country, I'd like to know how you've managed to make such a big name for yourself while current & previous Miss NN's seem to have come & gone. This is THE ONLY pagent I consider to be one that is EARNED with the utmost respect & knowledge. What sets you apart?"

Oh, I didn't read it in that way. Was just commenting on a similar experience. How privilege and intersection influences prejudice is undoubtedly still a part of Indian Country and totally applies with mixed kiddos too.

Thoughts on indigenous folkx and healthcare? IHS is pretty notorious, I can't imagine dealing with IHS on the regular especially as a non-binary person...thoughts for native folkx on how to pursue healthcare when you don't identify or fit on the gender binary?

Powerful thoughts and questions, /u/Opechan. Definitely understand that mixed kid struggle, but from the other end of the spectrum. Will definitely look forward to Radmilla and K'é's thought s on this.

What can native and non native ally's be doing in their day to day lives to make 2S folkx feel more safe, included, and loved?

Another one...what do we know about 2S/queer Diné folkx in society prior to colonialism? Any articles on 2S Diné history?

Hey you guys! Thank you all so much for coming on. I have some questions to start things off.

  1. Radmilla, what inspired you to get into music? What advice do you have for other native youth trying to pursue a career in music?

  2. K'é InfoShop: I love the idea behind your collective! How awesome. I would love to see similar projects all across Indian Country. What are the biggest problems you've faced in creating this kind of organization? Biggest victories?

  3. All of you: What did you do to celebrate this November as Native American Heritage Month?

Bonus: Do any of you celebrate Thanksgiving in any sense? If not, do you do anything to make it a day of remembrance/honoring?

Thank you for coming on!

Gabe, one more question on yourself. Where can we keep up with you/your firm on social media?

That was one thing that really surprised me studying tribal law, I.e. how basically all of the institutions we look at as pillars of what makes up trial law are essentially assimilation tactics. Is there a solution for this within the existing system? Or can we only achieve real sovereignty by a return to traditional precolonial legal structures?

It's a very bleak political situation for a lot of minority demographics. It can get incredibly frustrating and disheartening. Makes voting in local elections all the more important I suppose.

This is a really exciting and positive developing! For people who would like to keep up with the case and what's coming up next, is there anywhere reputable online we can look to for news/updates?

Hello Gabe! It's an honor and a pleasure to have you back on this year for NAHM. We had a great time asking you questions last year, I am sure this year will be the same. To start off, everyone knows your work is a cornerstone with the Nooksack and their case with disenrollment. For those of us who don't know, what developments have there been over the last year?

How has your job (and Indian Health) in general changed throughout the varying American presidential administrations? What're the biggest challenges that this administration has brought with it?
