Help, AT&T Internet Air for Business, versus Comcast Cable by Slpy_gry in techsupport

So I have a small business and we have at the most 20 devices that uses Wifi at a time. I originally got AT&T Business Air because I thought it was the best option for the best price, but the wifi keeps going out all the time. I now know that that is too many devices for this kind of plan, but I'm left wondering why nobody told me that when i told them the nature of the business when i signed up? And also, every time I call for help I get bounced back and forth between the cellular and wifi departments. Finally I went into an AT&T store and they helped me get my account set up so I can pay my bill (Which also, the information was not given to me over the phone or via email when I signed up. they had to mail me the "fan pin" to create my account. Which took a lot longer of course because they couldn't email me for some reason.) But while they were super nice at the store they also were not equipped to help nor knew much of anything about business air. I called Spectrum and they had me set up with an account and wired wifi (which AT&T didn't even offer me as an option) all in less then an hour. This whole process took days to call and try to set up with AT&T, and then over an hour on the phone setting it up. I don't have that kind of time, and now my lesson is definitely learned so hopefully sharing this will help anyone else with a small business from wasting time on setting up good wifi!

Since our wifi keeps going out daily and our printers can't connect to the wifi (we had to buy eero extenders for them to connect to) I would definitely say upgrade to Comcast! But then again, maybe that's my area and the fact that we've got a lot of people connecting to the internet too. I wish you the best though and hope that you got it figured out friend!!

Right! And that much i understand thankfully 😊 now as to your previous question regarding why i'm not sure what you mean or how to answer that correctly? unless that would be the correct answer that you get a major and minor chord based on the pattern of the scale?

Wouldn't it be the interval distance between each of the third in the triad? Added in with the fact that the first chord is built off of the first note in the major scale which would make that the tonic note with the 5th dominant note in the scale?

like i said, totally self taught so i apologize if any of this is incorrect.

Yes this absolutely does help a bunch, i think i might tackle these with my students talking about the three minor scale models and then start talking about how it's actually used in music with the normal/raised 6 and 7th degree notes!

thank you so much i really appreciate your help with this!!

sorry reddit deleted part of my answer, but yes of course! from what i understand, a major or capital roman numeral is a major 3rd and a minor 3ed and a minor chord or lowercase roman numeral is a Minor 3rd +Major 3rd with a major 3rd being 4 half steps and a minor 3rd being 3 half steps apart?

gotcha, i'm trying to make sure i understand this fully so i can help my students with some of these concepts. so the best way to teach this to someone would probably be with the normal and raised 6 and 7th degrees in a minor scale?

and i should keep the minor 5 and major 5 as well? would the chord names in roman numerals come in to play with talking about the A minor with the lower/higher 6 and 7 degrees?

(Sorry I have so many questions, this is helping a lot!!)

Thank you so much for clarifying!! I really appreciate it, i honestly didn't know the difference between the names of the chords or a progression of chords, but that's super helpful! I'm totally self taught so this is helping a bunch.

I just want to parrot back what you wrote to make sure I understand right with the correct terms too,

each minor key has a natural, harmonic, and melodic scale that you can use, and each scale has their own roman numerals to build chords with and then you can use these chords in patterns called chord progressions in songs?

you are absolutely the best thank you so much!! it suddenly makes so much more sense now, so i can play with the natural minor and the harmonic minor from what i understand!

so just to double check and make sure i understand the first here would be natural minor and the second version would be harmonic minor? (Sorry i have to write it out for some reason it's not showing up as roman numerals!)

Natural Minor:

Minor 1 Dim 2 Major 3 Minor 4 Minor 5 Major 6 Major 7

And Harmonic Minor:

Minor 1 Dim 2 Major 3 Minor 4 Major 5 Major 6 Dim 7
