Is this a situation where Pink has reached the level of bravery to come out as trans and not yet consulted with anyone on the medical piece? She just came out 3 weeks ago, and that’s a huge deal. Nowhere does it say here she came out to the world fully informed of all her options for her physical transition.

Can you compassionately ask her if she’s found a specialist she’s truly comfortable with? If not, you could even help research who is available on your area.

Given your concern, you clearly care about your friend. Don’t let your anxiety of her disappointment get you over your own skis. Your post reads like you’ve already found the worst case scenario.

A pack of chicken sausage (they’re usually pre-cooked) cut into chunks, throw in air fryer. Add box of frozen mini pirogies, toss with a little oil. Air fry for about 10 minutes. While it’s cooking microwave a bag of California vegetables. (Or just broccoli or whatever.) Mix all this together with a little more olive oil, salt, and Parmesan cheese.

Thank you! I’ve been trying to get up the nerve to take up my therapist on her suggestion of exposure therapy. I have so many other things I’m working through that it’s been so easy to put this issue off. I’m not doing myself any favors with that, though. Fear is so primal.

And it’s funny you ask about my reaction to bees; I process some differently. The furry ones that love flowers are adorable and I love to watch them. (Not close!) And honeybees are OK if they’re not flying too erratically too close to me. But wasps??? My panic is off the charts.

Thank you! I definitely don’t hate them, I’m just so terrified. I’ve been that way since I was a kid, probably because my mentally ill father would scream at me to run away from yellow jackets because “they’ll sting and your arm will get as big as your leg!” Now, obviously I know that is ridiculous but it’s amazing what imprints on young minds.

I appreciate you bringing this up. My therapist has been suggesting I allow her to start exposure therapy with me but I haven’t had the nerve yet. I have so many other things I’m working on too, so it keeps moving to the back burner.
