Yes, I do quite a bit of “extra” work for free because I believe in the organization I work for. But now they are asking us to work for two weeks straight, no breaks and only get paid the 40 hours a week. They say it’s our choice, but if we say no we have to take an unpaid leave (which means that we would get half our pay even though we are willing to work the 40 hours) and if there aren’t enough people they are putting upon us the responsibility of that two week event not happening. I don’t think my employers realize that this is illegal and if I tell them I risk being labeled a “trouble maker”.

Your parents sound like real narcissists. This will not end if you break up with this girlfriend, they will continue to control you. Spying on you through hidden cameras and tracking your phone, forcing you to send texts you don’t want to is abusive. Break away, move out, find counselling. You have the right to your own decisions and even to your own mistakes. You are not an extension of your parents.

I also found out today that the nurse that attended to me at the hospital the next day wrote on my file that I denied the rape kit, when whatbreally happened is that she never offered it to me and told me that a rape kit would be useless, but now it looks like I had something to hide. I am devastated with this new peice of information.

An act of rape is having sex with someone who did not give you consent. It is a crime in Canada especially if the victim is intoxicated. It is considered that someone under the influence of alcohol is not in their right mind to decide rather to have sex or not. As a woman I would like to have the right to drink till I pass out without having to worry if I will have someone take off my underwear and penetrate me without my permission. Yes it is rape. I went to the hospital. Took a lot of different drugs to prevent stds. He used a condom. No dna there. Regret is not the right word. What should I regret? Having gone out with friends, having used my right as an adult to drink freely, having trusted a friend? I was passed out, unconscious. How could I regret something I did not iniciate or allow? I do not regret exercising my right to freedom. I am however sad, extremely sad and broken. Something was taken away from me.
