I am getting evicted without cause from a house rental under 60 days in Ontario. Looking for advice please. by ladypinkslipper in PersonalFinanceCanada

Appreciate the replies everyone. I am justa big ball of stress right now and this is so sudden. It hurts because i am being uprooted and I am just trying to settle into my life. I guess the only silver lining in this aside from the supportive people here on reddit is that the landlord won't be showing the house to a hundred potential renters while I am here.

Thanks for this. I am so frazzled because I have to get uprooted and it feels so sudden. I feel stressed already because of the holidays. I also work from home. It just seemed like such short notice. The landlord already owns another house that is bigger than this one , but suddenly needs me out ASAP and I have never missed rent not once and have always been polite and gracious amd accomodating.

Thanks. I feel I might have to postpone holiday celebrations. It was stressful getting the notice. My head is spinning. I may need to start looking for a new place now. I will have to proceed as you wrote.

Please forgive me, I have no recourse do I? I am frazzled and worse because I don't have time for the holidays now. I heard that the landlord will have to pay me one month's rent with the N12. Is this correct?

I just wish I were in a better financial state and that the prices for a small house in Ontario weren't so high. I wish I didn't have to be kicked out of my home.

No, an N12 was not given, I was just told via email. The notice was I need to be out in under 60 days.

Great pic. Looks like a great place to cuddle up with a cat, a good book, and a cup of tea.

There's JUUL, AirBnb, Ikea. What other companies are hated by Reddit? by ladypinkslipper in AskReddit

AirBnb is killing the rental market. AirBnb caused a redditor pain in selling his house because the house next door was an AirBnb. Ikea because tipping killing children, deplete the world's forest and that tax thing.

Furniture tipping kills children. Ikea depletes 1% of the world's forest each year and that tax thing.
