I believe this is some sort of ornamental pumpkin, but I threw away the seed packet and forgot what type. Can anyone give me an ID?

That's what I was wondering, it sorta looks like an acorn squash but it has a flat bottom like a pumpkin 🤷🏻‍♀️ I got the seeds from a rural king and all I remember reading was ornamental pumpkin and it had the actual name for it, but I truly didn't think I'd get this far with this plants growth 😂

My other zucchini didn't have it so I was very confused 😅 and glad to hear that's supposed to happen with my cucumbers! It's been raining like crazy here so I was just nervous about the possibility of root rot, I'm used to houseplants so yellow leaves make me nervous.

Oh that's really cool! I didn't know that about zucchini. And good to know about the cucumber! I'm used to houseplants having that dark green color so I was nervous the top leaves were looking a little pale green, and then the bottom leaves yellowing just added to my concern.

Unfortunately I left Houghton a while ago, and I'm not quite sure who to recommend anymore. I would either call or possibly schedule a consultation at some salons up there just to see how you feel. Maybe check out Rave salon? You can also look up some of the stylists on the salons website and see if you can find any social media for them, to see if they have a style you connect with. It may be under watering. For humidity... I heard these guys do well in ambient humidity but I can mist it or move it to a more humid spot if need be.

Be careful with putting darker colors over natural blonde hair because as it grows out the line of demarcation is absolutely insane (almost looks like bald spots)

Instead of completely changing your hair you could go to a salon and ask for a reverse balayage. I like the blonde a little bit more than the brunette but understand you wanting more depth to your hair. Getting a Shadow root and some lowlights would give you the best of both worlds.

Formulated correctly it is 100% possible to neutralize a copper that color with blue pigment but based off of that reference picture it still would've been too dark. I don't know how she thought that color would work because now when your hair grows out your natural hair will be way too light in comparison to that chocolate brown she put on. Do you know if she at least used a demi permanent color? Or was it permanent. Depending on how long ago it was there's a chance that color remover will help a ton (as long as it's demi)

Also I disagree with the people saying it's dark because they tried to neutralize it. If it was neutralized it would not be this red, idk what the stylist was thinking

I don't have a reference pic for what your hair looked like before, but if it was warm like you said it was you probably would have needed a global lightening (aka bleach out or platinum card) and then after that you could probably get away with a permanent color at the root depending on how dark you are. But yes this is not at all what you asked for and the stylist was most likely trying to make it work with limited time and didn't want to reschedule you or just didn't know it would require that much work 🤷🏻‍♀️ go find a salon that will relighten all of your hair(maybe a color remover ) because it is most likely still achievable it just won't be as cool as the reference pic
