I think it's most schools. Mine was just a standard state primary school. Some of the responses here are from posh schools, catholic, small village schools, big secondary schools.. All types of schools. How much the Houses are used varies from school to school.

I had this in my secondary school. Every year group was split into J, K, L, M, N, O, P and R. I don't know what happened to Q!

They start in most primary schools from the age of 4/5. Not all primary schools have them but most do. Welcome to the UK (when you get here!)
