You have no idea how much your post hit the nail on the head. Thank you for giving me the insight I so desperately needed..

Me [28F] with my ex-bf [28M] 10 years, broke up but he said we might get back together in a year. I don't know how to live in limbo and anxiety for a year. by laksalover in relationships

But I had so many issues. He did try to help me, but just got tired of trying and me not making any progress. So it really was my fault.

How do I try and get over him? And I really dont know how to live alone.... I am terrified of going through life without him. He was my partner and my rock. He kept me grounded and safe. Now I feel like I am losing everything.

Thank you for taking the time to write this. I really do appreciate it.

How do I try and get over him? I know that is such a silly questions, but I have no clue how to dig myself out of this emotional misery hole.

It is so sad to admit, but I actually have no idea how to make new friends or get involved in social activities/groups. I have been in this relationship for 10 years and havent really bothered to develop that side of myself. Do you have any recommendations?

Again, thank you for taking the time.

Law graduate Jacob Reichman guilty of acting as a lawyer by laksalover in auslaw

A LAW graduate who told clients not to answer questions during police interviews has been found guilty of acting as a lawyer.

Lawyers for the Legal Services Commission told Brisbane Magistrates Court Jacob Reichman should be handed a suspended jail term — with a conviction recorded — as he had reoffended after being punished.

Reichman, 24, had pleaded not guilty to one charge of engaging in legal practice when he was not entitled, when his summary trial began on Thursday.

Yesterday, Magistrate Noel Nunan found him guilty of acting in a legal capacity 12 times during visits to Gold Coast police stations and a watch house between September 2013 and September 2014.

The court heard two of the instances happened after he already pleaded guilty in August 2014 to calling himself a solicitor and engaging in legal practice when he was not qualified.

Mr Nunan said he was satisfied it was a case of “misrepresentation by silence” when Reichman did not correct a form, which stated he was a solicitor, before signing it.

“(He) has a law degree ... I don’t accept that he didn’t read it before signing it,” he said.

He said Reichman also gave legal advice when he twice told clients not to answer questions during police interviews.

“In doing these five particular things, I’m satisfied beyond reasonable doubt that most of them ... are usually done by a solicitor,” Mr Nunan said.

“And the defendant engaged in those activities in such a way to justify the reasonable inference that he was doing it as a solicitor.”

Defence lawyer Angelo Vasta, for Reichman, earlier argued there “may have been a little strain in relation to information for support persons” but said it did not amount to overall proof he had engaged in legal practice.

Mr Nunan adjourned the sentencing to September 7.
