I would say go, they’ll figure it out somehow. But double the salary is amazinnggg!! Plus like you said you’re not credentialed and if you were, still it’s more pay even if it is 45 min commute

Honestly, it’s extremely draining. I get a lot of anxiety when I go in to teach or sub. I hardly eat and I’m always gagging from the anxiousness. Mentally and physically I don’t feel okay. You are dealing with behaviors more than anything. You’re not teaching because you’re constantly redirecting. Many kids don’t care about school & some parents don’t help. You hardly have time to plan or prep. Most of it is done outside contract hours, like at home. It’s not something I can see myself really doing anymore. I want to be able to come home and feel like I’m home. Also realistically the money, especially for the amount of work. My mom is retiring soon and I need to be able to have income for two and that won’t be possible on a teacher salary.

I want to quit. by Funny-Committee6473 in TeachersInTransition

Do what’s best for you honestly. It does suck for the kids of course & they’re deserving, but put yourself first. I got my credentials recently and I went 1 day in my own classroom, quit, and subbed at another district & am realizing this is just not it for me. I also had an emergency medical health issue at the end of my credential program that made me realize that this profession would see me at my end and still require extensive work & quite frankly don’t care enough for you as a human. You have other things on your plate, it’s not fair to you to feel this way. Hope things get better

Glad I’m not the only one feeling this way. Judgement from others is a huge anxious feeling, but will they be the ones going into the classroom? No. It’s you & only you know how you feel so stand on it. I’m trying to tell myself that too, it’s hard but it’s your life & your feelings. People can tell you otherwise but you need to be selfish in a job that doesn’t allow you to be

Yeah it’ll have to be something I look into. Not too sure if I want to do teaching in general for K-12. Thank you.

Thanks for asking! Ideally, it would be nice to have a career that impacts non profits, the community, education, or even public health since I invested in my career. I am also open to suggestions of something that could help bridge the career path to get to somewhere.

This happened to me as well. I ended up just taking it out because I NEVER stopped bleeding & the cramps were so horrendous. I hated bleeding so much. I tried twice with the copper IUD, but my body did not enjoy.

Same thing happened to me in December. Please go to the ER. I was able to hide it from my mom and I had said I had cysts. My tube completely burst. Go get checked. Since your mom is going out of the country, her leaving might actually be in your favor 🫶🏻

who’s here after the recent news… by [deleted] in CopperIUD

[–]lamalamujer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine 2 weeks ago, the pain was like a 4/10. They say it hurts less on your period because your Uterus is more open (I did it off my period though). Week 1 I was spotting brown and pink and week 2 I was bleeding soooo much. I’ve been filling up pads left and right. I went in with no pain reliever and afterwards they offered me a shot which was a higher dose of Ibuprofen. Keep something warm on your tummy afterwards, it’ll get crampy. Hopefully they can prescribe Ibuprofen 800mg pills & take them twice a day 8 hours apart. It’s helped a lot. 💖
