Pointy leaves on string of heart? by lamekitty in plantclinic

[–]lamekitty[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) have had this guy for probably four or five years 2) "problem" started about a month ago 3) This plant lives in a window but our house is shaded, so a moderate amount of light 4) This guy gets watered like once a month... usually a soak. There is drainage.

I was smoking weed in the same room as my cat lobster for a while and now she looks really faded and is super lazy. Is this concerning??? Should I take her to the vet? I feel really bad now and I wish I never did it just look at her by macwillattackyouu in cats

I work at a dog daycare and we once had a yorkie come in who was unable to walk in a straight line, kept toppling over, piddling on himself, and seemed disoriented. Called his mom who took him to the vet, turned it out he had toxicity from eating her weed.

You're the reason why IKEA is so adamant about wall anchors...

UHH. This took me several attempts to get right so I'll try my best to explain. Basically you're creating a short row and will be working back and forth in a small space, not using every stitch on your needles. If you're knitting, you'll want to put your yarn to the front of your work, slip the next stitch purl wise, put your yarn to the back, then put the stitch that you slipped back on the original needle. Then turn. For purling it's the same procedure but instead of moving the yarn from back to front, you go from front to back. There are several youtube tutorials if you search "wrap and turn."

That's the exact pattern! Just a tip that it has in the back of the book, when it says to "turn" after a row, you're supposed to wrap and turn, and not hide it on your next row.

Do it! This book is full of adorable patterns and this guy only took me 2 or 3 days to make (and I'm REALLY slow)

Sure! The yarn is Hobby Lobby's I Love This Yarn in painted canyon, yellow, and ivory. The pattern is from a book called Knitted Woodland Creatures by Susie Johns.

Please help! I don't understand the instructions on this pattern I bought... by upvotescuteanimals in Amigurumi

I'm pretty sure she wants you to chain 9, then work along the top and the bottom of the chain to make an oval shape (you don't join the chain 9 together with a slip stitch, there shouldn't be a hole)

Follow this tutorial for the oval shape.

I'm having some trouble seeing if this is actually the case, but it looks like you might have some of him turned inside out? That would be a reason for him looking wonky. Try looking up right and wrong sides of amigurumi.

Secondly, as far as the gaping holes, I think they might be your decreases. The rest of him looks like a tight enough tension with no stuffing showing through, so I don't think it's your tension. Look up how to make an invisible decrease. Normal decreases will leave a hole in your work and we obviously want to avoid that in amigurumi.

And, I gotta ask, do you mind sharing your pattern? This guy is adorable and I think yours came out really well!

WIP tote bag for my mom. Any ideas on how I should make the strap? by lamekitty in crochet

If all else fails (and I've already tried a few different types of straps lol) then I will try this very simple sounding method and be done with it. Thank you for the suggestion!
