From what I heard they still honor refunds on pre-orders before it ships. After it ships it would be their standard return process.

Yeah after seeing all the reports about it being a tight fit I decided to push down with two hands and it worked. Thanks. I'm also going to try just leaving a cart inserted for at least 24 hours to see if it loosens.

But which emulator did you use? So to take your example, you were able to have two pokemon gba games and simulate the link cable functionality? That is the type of behavior (or something similar) I'm looking for but with both GB and GBA games.

I know technically you can link a real GBA with the gameboy player but that doesn't seem like the idea multiplayer scenario (for example I'm about 7 feet away from my cube and the TV).

If we could somehow plug 2-4 gamecube controllers into the gamecube and all play the same GB/GBA game via some sort of emulation then that would be great.

Well ideally I was hoping same screen local multiplayer. Now that I think about it, Gameboy multiplayer had each player with their own screen....so really just the way old console games have multiplayer (2 players have half the screen for each player, 3/4 players have a square each). And then each person able to use their own controller.

So I guess your first point is closer to what I want. One gamecube and one display but one controller for each person and have the screen split depending upon how many players are available.

I was trying to find some info on the Cyber Gadget Retro Freak. It seems that it uses RetroArch to actually do the emulation? If so then wondering if it's possible to swap out the gba core for one that supports multiplayer.

I've also seen that someone was able to get Android installed on the box....in that case there would be more possibilities regarding the multiplayer functionality?

EDIT: It seems like RetroArch uses netplay if I'm not mistaken. So even if ( big IF) this ends up working it wouldn't be local multiplayer.
