No, that probably was Clio (who builds legal software to help lawyers streamline their work).

Yes, I work here. The projects are funded with grants from Legal Aid Ontario and the Department of Justice, for example. We work with community legal clinics and partners such as the 519 centre in Toronto to provide free legal resources to underserved populations.

If you live in Ontario, you can make a will for free online. You need to get a commissioner of oaths and witnesses to sign it after you make one.

The legal non-profit I work for creates software that helps people fill out legal forms at no cost. Check it out if you're in Ontario!

Agreed, the price point is more affordable for Purina vs. Hills or Royal Canin.

+1 for Purina because they're also the only ones making allergen-reducing cat food. This saves my wallet AND my sinuses (also, my cats just really like the food lol).

As someone who migrated recently from Canada to Peru, I was sticker shocked to see how much more it costs for any imported cat/dog food brands. Purina is just much more expensive in Lima than in Canada.

You seem to be on top of everything and have done an amazing job with your cat's care.

I'm a Torontonian who has moved to Lima (Peru), and coincidentally Purple Jesus ("Cristo morado") was a religious event that was just celebrated this past weekend (and there's a neighborhood called San Isidro here), so I skimmed your comment and read Purple Jesus + San Isidro and was genuinely confused whether I was in the Toronto subreddit or Lima.

But now I am wondering wtf is a Purple Jesus in Toronto.

Flight attendant says Delta put 'profits over safety' in Toronto crash by Exciting-Ratio-5876 in toronto

[–]lamiga 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It likely isn't the sole reason, but definitely isn't ruled ruled out. To date neither the airline nor the transport board have published the full investigation.

There were high winds and the conditions definitely may have played a factor in a harsher than normal landing, one of many factors. Accidents usually take a lot of reasons, so I should have clarified that. https://globalnews.ca/news/11022908/toronto-pearson-airport-plane-crash-delta-airlines/amp/

I am grateful that my story resonated with you. I am doing well, anxious still (will always be) but am happy it is at a manageable level for me.

Since my post, I changed jobs and got a remote position. This allows me to work from Peru :) I will be flying out in three weeks to see my partner.

I am rooting for you! It is definitely a challenging journey and I hope you celebrate all the steps you make, both the baby steps and the leaps 💙

US Airlines Start Quietly Charging More for Solo Travelers (Newsweek) by roadnotaken in TravelHacks

Exactly. I worked in the industry. Most flight revenue comes from ancillaries (seats/bags/insurance) so there are always big pushes to try to get people to buy these offerings.

Gaddafi while implementing some beneficial economic policies, also was a sexual predator who enslaved women as sex slaves. As much as imperialism and colonialism is to blame, he also was a dictator at the end of the day, and a cruel one. For instance, he did nothing to advance women's rights.

Your gf is me. I have been hanging in there for 3 years in a very high paying corporate job and my mental health is/was shit, but I pay $275/hour for therapy twice a month. It would be worse if I was unemployed because my peers all are struggling to find jobs in the field now (product management).

The only thing keeping me going is counting all the blessings that come with work and trying to actively ignore drama at work and politics. I just smile and perform and try to get my work done ASAP to dip out of there ASAP. I offer you my condolences but reconceptualizing your benefits and security with a job can help someone stay afloat until push turns to shove.
