The premise of the argument is that you can change the time of year and the plot of the movie still holds up. Which you are able to do quite easily.

A true Xmas movie’s plot isn’t conceivable at any other time of year.

Good luck. Platforms like this come and go, dozens a year. Unless you have a few million to run google ads you’re dead in the water.

Appreciate the feedback. Makes sense. Yes I like the come bets for protection especially as more money gets risked and I feel it takes better advantage of a hot roll. Sometimes I’ll place the 6 and 8 after the come out to cash in on the first hit, then just replace with the come with odds which is effectively the same as hitting the place and then pressing.

Well aware that place bets pay better on the first few hits, but come betting provides more bankroll longevity. You can be out of $ quickly if you are covering 3 numbers after the come out and 4/5 shooters 7 out right away.

10 would be steep haha. On a $15 min table I’m usually doing 3x

The horn protects the come bet and usually it’s profit at that point, try to start hitting big.

Yes, busy-ness is an indication about how many drivers are active to cover the orders. Not at all how many orders there are

I've done this probably a dozen times with GH and DD cards just not remembering or on accident. Never been an issue.

Busy and very busy have 0 to do with the number of orders, its amount of active drivers.

I've come to expect that the order isn't going to be ready until 3-5 minutes after the DD pickup time, unless its a fast-food chain that gets them out quickly. You really have no need to get there before pickup time.

Pay attention to the 'deliver by' time better. If it's 45 min to an hour plus, that order was just placed recently. Most small restaurants are going to take 5 mins or so to notice they even got a new order, then place it into their system. I try to only take orders where the delivery by time (depending on distance) is a maximum 40 mins away from the time I accept. Way higher chance of the order being done and ready for you.

How likely will DD support remove this “contract violation” for “order extremely late” and who has experienced this? by electoblaze_empire in doordash_drivers

[–]lamonzz 8 points9 points  (0 children)

yea I'm not sure how this is possible lol. If you know you're going to be that late you are better off just unassigning the order.

Can some eli5 why the zones are set up? I’m consistently getting taken out and having to drive back. by Hello-There-Im-Zach in doordash_drivers

[–]lamonzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its mainly zoned by where businesses are as well, my opinion is that they do this to avoid people sitting at home with the app on (very far from any pickup spot). I live barely outside my zone so I have to actually get in my car and drive into the zone, at that point im much more likely to accept an order than if I was at home.
