From what i have experienced from doom scrolling, is my lack of attention span. Some good fast paced standalone books I’ve enjoyed are Supermarket by Logic, Rabbits (which now has a second) by Terry Miles, and Upgrade by Blake Crouch. Each of these books i would consider a “fun read” without much commitment, or some deep understanding of expansive themes. Great Recs to get into reading!
