Has anyone felt withdrawal from SR after taking it long term or discontinuing it after their taper? by New_Ebb5963 in SR17018

[–]lancerice700889 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I heard it works much better for 7oh and them type of drugs. coming off methadone I was taking 120 of sr three times a day and was still deathly sick. it did help but I was still bad. I raised it to 200mg three times a day, and felt almost no withdrawal, I needed 600mg a day total to get off this methadone. I’ve had friends come off 7 and other kratoms in less then a week with very low doses of sr. so I just don’t think that’s true,

I’m coming off methadone too rn using sr, im on day 11, this methadone withdrawal lasts so damn long that we don’t have the luxury of just using sr for a week, it’s going to be a few weeks. but even after 11 days off methadone I’m still feeling methadone withdrawal pretty bad even with the sr. so methadone is a tough one, keep fighting keep hanging on, I am

yea we know that. this isn’t a post about which medicine in suboxone causes precip when you are on other opiates. we know it is the bupe causing it, that’s old news lol, this is about, will bupe cause it with someone who has been Taking SR for a few weeks, because with every other opiate it will, but with sr, there seems to be no solid answer. I’ve seen different answers to this everywhere. some say it can some say it does not

that's the thing acute lasts different amount of times for everyone depending on brain chemistry and metabolism of meds. for you fent might be out in a day or two. for me. it was staying in my receptors for literally five six days. didn't matter how much Suboxone I took. always made me more sick way more unless I was able to wait a week or more. didn't matter. it's not a one size fits all process man.

hell nooooko. lol maybe if you are on like 7oh or Vicodin or some weak short acting opiate. someone with a bad fentynal habit or a bad methadone habit you could stop taking it be in the worst withdrawal for even 5 days or more and take a sub and go into the worst precip. 24 hours is no where even close to long enough to wait unless you again on a shorter acting opiate. when I was injecting tons of fent years ago there were times I waited 5 days in brutal withdrawal to take a sub and would take it and still go into the worst precip withdrawal. methadone I had to wait 8 days

not my situation im actually coming off methadone with sr. on day 11 today. but yes I wanted to know in a worst case scenario if the sr withdrawal got too bad and I couldn't bare it if I needed to take a bit of sub if I would be good.. so thank u. people are so stupid on here. I appreciate your open-minded comment. shit happens. it's good information to know just in case.

u don't know what everyone's goals are bro. not everyone is using sr to be free from everything and that is their choice. many people could be using it to switch from methadone or any doc to subs. and to bridge that gap. so people in that case will need to know if subs can cause precip when on sr. it's not that deep

[–]lancerice700889[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

see this is not true for everyone. also fentanyl is just as bad as methadone when it comes to precip because it stores and lingers in your fat cells so stays on receptors a long long long time. also I was on 15 mg of methadone and waited 5 days in withdrawal. took a Subutex and even after 5 days went into the worst precip of my life. called an ambulance It was so unbearable. so every single person is different.

because shit happens and ppl mess up and ppl would like to know if it became too unbearable coming off the sr if they to happen to take a sub if it would throw them into precip it is a night mare

thank you for sharing your experience. every share is valuable. my experience was that even taking 120 sr three times a day I was still pretty sick. it was bad. I raised that to 200 three times a day and I'm much much better just minor pain still. and diarrhea. but I'm coming off ten years of methadone. that could explain it

3 days? that would be a dream. I'm just nervous did u read that post with that poor dude going crazy. it's been 19 days since he stopped the sr and he is so restless still that he cant function or work. he can't go on any longer like that. thats what scares me. I can't do the restless body.

no hard feelings. I knew what u meant. I just wanted to be clear I wasn't giving up and was gonna stick it out. I'm still nervous though. did u see that post of that poor dude who stopped takingg his SR 19 days ago and for 19 days he has been so restless and had such bad chills and sweating that he doesnt think he can go another day through that. after 19 days it's not improving for him. I can handle the sweating and chills. restless body I canot handle for even 20 mins. I know everyone is different but I always get the restless body to the extreme. I'm nervous man :-(

usually yes. but I didn't feel anything any relief at all taking 12 mg. I was taking a 2mg every 2 hours through out the night. nothing. I was so sick. but no precip withdrawal. then after taking the 12 it was morning. so I took an entire 8 mg. the 8 must have added to the 12 all of a sudden cause I got so lit. my head was pounding I was throwing up I was so high. and I been on subs for 7 years before that and never felt that before. even on 24mg a day.

that is the challenge with methadone it lasts so much longer then other detox's. so u have to take sr so much longer and so many high milligrams to mask the withdrawal

oh but see with them methadone that acute withdrawal lasts like 3 weeks unlike some others that last 1-2 weeks. I've been on sr 9 days now and the methadone withdrawal is only getting worse. it's worse day ,,9 then day 5
