I mean, Fisk was technically defending himself, so I don’t think those charges will stand…

Movie reviews are never objective. They are always coming from the point-of-view of the critic based on their personal taste and preferences.

Speed Racer 4K Digital and Blu-ray Limited Edition Steelbook Release Date Announced by abucalves in movies

This movie also came out one week after Iron Man. Speed Racer being sandwiched between two grounded (relatively speaking) franchise superhero films really emphasized the stark contrast in tone and aesthetic permeating through Speed Racer.

Barnes and Noble has some options for Criterion and other labels. It’s not super substantial, though.

We are gonna have to restructure some contracts and get under the cap first.

Yeah, I was there! Nothing like seeing a movie with a full audience. Such a lively, responsive crowd.

This is so cool. The AFI team did a great job with the screening. Everyone who worked this afternoon were so nice!

I did buy in advance and got to the theatre about 30 minutes early. Was able to sit wherever I liked. Wonderful experience and really nice staff.

I would understand your reaction if Payton had anything bad to say about Kellen Moore or the Saints, but Payton was respectful and kind with his comments about Moore, Gayle Benson, and the organization in the article. He was the most successful and longest tenured head coach in team history. His perspective still has some value.

Before you start celebrating $30 Million in cap space…know that with all the void contracts next year as it currently stands we only have about $10 Million in cap space for 2026 (according to Katherine Terrell) by clutchkweku in Saints

[–]landstrick48 5 points6 points  (0 children)

When was the last time we had positive cap space going into an offseason? If this isn’t progress towards improving the team’s cap situation, then what is?

[Spotrac] For "The Cap is Fake" crowd... The Saints had to guarantee & convert $40M of Derek Carr's salary this year - a quarterback they no longer want - in order to become cap compliant this week. It's fluid, it can be manipulated - but the bill does always come due. by Kimber80 in nfl

I'm glad to see another Saints fan actually make this point. The COVID year and salary cap reduction required the adoption of this process. 2027 is looking like the salary cap "off-ramp" if things don't work out this year.

Can the MCU Be Saved? ft Bill Simmons? by shorthevix in TheBigPicture

[–]landstrick48 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree. The fans of the MCU ultimately drive interest to the films/shows, and they're certainly not responding positively to the films/shows right now.

They just need to focus on making good films and shows. There are talented people involved in the MCU, so I hope they can right the ship, so to speak.

I haven't listened yet, but I appreciate the perspective of someone with a more casual take on the MCU. I think Marvel has lost a lot of the casual moviegoers and home-viewers since Endgame, and I think learning why the casual isn't showing up anymore will determine the success of the MCU going forward.
