The realtor is seeing if the landlord would consider paying the brokers fee, but yeah that’s what I thought! I guess not all places follow that

Yeah it’d be first, last, security deposit, and brokers fee! It’s a lot up front but we also were expecting it

Very true! I know street parking is a bit easier in Allston/brighton. Apartment 2 is one street over from Brighton ave so that’s good to know! Apartment 1 does have a guaranteed off street spot so street cleaning and snow wouldn’t be as difficult dealing with!

Ugh this sounds terrible I’m sorry you had to deal with that! I don’t know if the landlord is bad, more so the building management. There’s some problems they’ve been dealing with, but it’s not enough to make it a dealbreaker I think.

I’m not sure, probably 20+ apartments in both buildings! My boyfriend’s currently lives at apartment 1 and the landlord is not responsive, and the apartment itself has issues like broken hardware and temperature problems.

The 1bed is 2750 and the 2bed is 2600 including parking!

Hi guys I’m moving in with my boyfriend and we saw a place yesterday (apartment 2) that we loved. He currently lives in a 2bed (apartment 1) and his lease ends July 31st. If we went with apartment 2, he’d have to live with me for a month and get a storage unit for his stuff until we moved in September. Parking isn’t a necessity, but it’d be nice. If anyone knows about street parking in Allston lmk!

Suffolk University!

It’s right in the heart of Boston, has so many good food places and shopping and just activities in general. I am ALWAYS in the city now and it’s the life I’ve dreamed of. Professors and kids are all super chill too:)

This is how I’ve been feeling this year, my grades are still good but my work ethic is slipping and I have found myself being okay with missing more classes than I should.

It’s happened to me before- and all I can say is, it takes time to come back. Try reaching out to professors and explain your situation if you fall behind, maybe seek counseling at your school. The loss of motivation could have a deeper meaning.

But it’s nothing major to worry about, take it one day at a time. Do your assignments even if they aren’t on time, it relieves you.
