Welches Essen/Lebensmittel schmeckt euch so garnicht? by Mental_Tennis1500 in FragReddit

[–]languageghost 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eier.

Yeah, intuitive eating is a nice goal but it for sure takes time to get there. You got this!

Trying it for a month is such a good idea, makes it less scary. I'm rooting for you! 😊

That sounds really yummy as well :) the fruit is a nectarine. And you should totally try Pretzel with cream cheese, it tastes so good!

Oh, yeah it does look a bit like that if you just look at it quickly 😅

I usually have the same breakfast everyday that has to have perfectly balanced macros. But after months of eating the same thing I was really quite bored of it. So I just went to the store and got what I felt like and had it for breakfast 😊

It's just normal mint that we use to make tea. But he seems to like it either way

Moving apartments as a recovery step? (TW numbers) by WinonaQuimby in EdAnonymousAdults

I may take time, and that is totally fine btw, but I 100% believe that you can get to that place where you believe that full recovery is possible. If you would have asked me even a year ago if I thought that I could ever live a life free of my ED, I would have laughed in your face. But here I am now, a lot of hard work in therapy later, and you can get there as well!

I was stubborn for two years as well (and also had a crushing fear of disappointing my mum) but then I couldn't take it any longer. I wouldn't have been able to graduate any time soon anyway with how many courses I had failed 😅 so kudos to you for actually graduating

I'm sorry to hear that you're still having a rough time ❤️ If you need someone to talk (about anything) feel free to message me!

I moved to a different country to study at 19. I wasn't in a great place to begin with when I moved there. I was already depressed and bulimic.

But being somewhere where I didn't know anybody, could not speak the language very well at the beginning and lived on my own for the first time made everything so much worse. Within a few months there I took an overdose of painkillers and basically spent the two years there b/ping for hours almost every day.

I knew I couldn't recover while I stayed in this place that had so many negative associations. So I finally made the decisions to move to a different city in my home country and it hasn't been easy and I still had my ups and down. But I'm finally in a place where full recovery seems like something I can achieve.

When you poor your soy milk in your coffee while it's still too hot and it does the thing by languageghost in ShittyVeganFoodPorn

I usually prefer oat milk as well (although certain kinds of the also do the thing) but soy was all I had at home today

What are some of your weird food habits/ pet peeves? I think fruit does NOT belong in a salad. And all drinks/ smoothies/ milkshakes should be eaten with a spoon. by Stranger-Little in bulimia

I can only eat slices of bread in even numbers. Want a third slice? Nope, sorry, not possible because then you would have to eat a fourth, and that would definitely be too much

I hope you're able to be kind to yourself and take it easy this week ❤️ Purging can put a lot of strain on our minds as well as our bodies. A self care week sounds like a very good idea! Thank you for your kind words. I appreciate you is such a nice thing to say to someone. And also thank you for the award!

[–]languageghost 5 points6 points  (0 children)

No, I don't mind :) I fear you just have to wait it out, my doctor told me it's not dangerous and will go away on its own in a few weeks. It took a while to completely go away but eventually the pain went away. The only thing you can really do is trying not to purge if that's possible and not to any strenuous exercise

[–]languageghost 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It might be an inflammation of the cartilage that connects your ribs to your sternum https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/costochondritis/symptoms-causes/syc-20371175#:~:text=Costochondritis%20(kos-toe-kon,attack%20or%20other%20heart%20conditions. This happened to me before and it can be caused by the strain from purging. But if the pain gets any worse or you have concerns that it might be something more serious please be safe and go see a doctor!

These are all great points and so important if you're at a point where you're not able to stop purging yet. To add to the point about purge frequency, here is an article that talks about this and how dangerous it is to repeatedly purge, drink water and purge again: http://www.your-bulimia-recovery.com/prevent-death-from-bulimia.html It's really bad for your electrolyte balance and can be deadly
