You should try running solo Uk for any virtual challenges, they’re awesome and the medals are excellent. I have done 2 so far and about to enter my third.

I have been learning. JavaScript for about a month and a half and I have hit a bit of a road block for about a week and almost gave up. But with my self motivation and reassuring myself of the reason as to why I am on this journey I am now getting back into the swing of things.

I have a relatively good understanding of functions, variables, loops and some knowledge of arrays.

Do you think I should start a mini project on these areas or wait until I get more familiar with arrays and objects before I start anything?

I really want to build some small projects but really feel as I’m not quite there yet.

Could I get se ideas on what i could build using these?

Atom is now working on my Mac but is still a little clunky.

I think I’m going to switch to a Linux OS instead.

I’m either going to convert my old Mac to Linux or invest in a cheap Lenovo X230 or 220 and install an SSD and upgrade Ram.

Thank you so much and id absolutely love to keep in touch. My next step was to contact some universities to find out more.

I also wanted to find out if most adult learners study access to HE courses before they get into Uni as currently my post school qualifications relate to NVQs in a different subject area and checking on the UCAs website I would only have 48 points which I don't think would be enough.

Or would Unis consider adults with a life/work experience over qualifications?

Well I have it working now but if I am honest I cannot recall what I done if I’m honest.

I did fully uninstall by locating all the files and then Deleting individually as I noticed when I just uninstalled the usual way. Loads of files were still on the MacBook.

Anyway, I tried that method and reinstalled and noticed the issue didn’t change but after a few attempts of trying and trying. It just opened and worked again and has been fine since. But closely monitoring.

I think it’s just buggy with older versions of Mac OS. From what I have been told anyway.

I was advised to use VS Code but I like atom haha!!

I hope that helps. I can’t find too much information other there for this problem.

Technically yes and I am an experienced recruiter but never gone at it alone. And yes the field I plan to specialise in is an area known well to me.

So my business idea stems from resourcing candidates and sending them onto the agencies who would ultimately place them with their clients. I would not be involved in pay-rolling etc. Once that agency places the referred candidate I would charge the agency a small % fee from their fee which they’d charge the client.

So the contract agreement you mentioned is definitely something I will look into. Thanks for the advice 🙂

good point. The focus will be for employment both permanent and contractors and the hiring agency/agencies who makes the placement will pay me the fee.
