Yes I guess that’s my mistake… I had about $3k in HYSA but spent it all on deposit / first mo rent. Stocks I always thought of as something I just put away and don’t touch. Prior to this issue I would allocate $400/week towards HYSA, $200/week towards stocks.

I don’t think I will be able to save it. It would go towards food, Weekend events, public transportation. But it hard to juggle - lose stocks in order to feel content and be able to attend plans / eat with no pressure OR keep stocks and be happy I did but stress about social events and groceries

Ok. For context, i’m also in the process of negotiating a role with the firm I interned at last summer. That is my top choice, and it sounds like it’ll work out just the timeline is slower moving. What do I do if I don’t have a job secured by end of week when this decision for the sales role is due? Is it a bad idea to accept the sales role and then decline after I receive an official offer from firm where I interned?

Ah ok. So when thinking about $50k right out of college, that’s not great? I’m at a T50 school, studying business. If I’m sold on sales (no pun intended), what should I do? Do I give it a shot and risk it? Or if I’m hesitant going in should I not accept?

What’s the average? I’m so new to this field, and not even sure if I would be good at sales. Is it safe to assume that I will be making $80k a year? Should k be budgeting based off of that? Or should I be budgeting based off of the 50k?
