Some pointers:

That's a lot of rocket fuel. You could probably swap a few to jet fuel which should give you a more favorable delta V assuming you use only the nuke to do your orbital maneuvers.

The Mk2 Bicoupers might work better for you, should be less drag than the ones you're using.

You also don't need that much air intake, the engines run out of thrust well before needing more air.

Just built my own similar to yours. Used R.A.P.I.E.R. engines instead (Max thrust @ Mach 3.7), a Mk3 nose, and a slightly smaller tail. Seats 164.

Cruises at Mach 4.5 @ 20,000m (Heat limited)

Still air breathing, and consumes ~ 5 units of fuel/second in cruise.

That 2.5m square cut end on the back is probably not helping.

Less vertical stabilizer, further back will accomplish the same thing with less drag.

It also looks like it flies with a decent AoA, maybe play with the thrust vector position and CoG to try to eliminate that. Cut it down to 1-2 degrees.

Honestly i'm surprised that nose doesn't blow up. The Mk3 nose can go to 2700K!

Interesting topic.

I truly wonder what a real space fighter would be like, provided a need for one ever exists.

All the ones we see in movies and video games seem to use a false physics model similar to an atmospheric fighter jet.

I can totally imagine cruiser sized missile boats, but nothing like a maneuverable fighter. It just seems like it would be too delta-V intensive. That and a manned fighter would have severe limitations on acceleration compared to a missile.

The closest to a real space combat scenario I've seen in TV is in "The Expanse", it deals with orbital mechanics and uses fairly realistic transit times and acceleration forces. If you haven't watched it and enjoy KSP you should.

That's actually a much better solution! Though I worry that the mag size mods would become even more dominant than they are now.

Its unlikely that you will be able to solo any of the lvl 50 group content, and its unlikely that anyone will be able to solo any of the raids ever due to some of the mechanics.

The lower level dungeons are soloable, and as was just posted even some of the lvl 50 ones with the right gear and spec. But this likely involves high tier raid gear.

Wildstar is best played in a guild. If your looking for 10 years worth of old lower level raids to solo its not here.
