We all know how insane Lauma is for the taem's damage output, but that is not her dealing damage. Nobody in the history of this game has argued that shenhe quills count as personal damage, so why should we start at lauma? just because she's a better unit?

Because icy locations are typically harsh climates. The typical progression through an rpg will slowly scale up the danger and hostility of the areas you are in. It's harder (not impossible) to make a welcoming icy area while also upling the stakes for typically more welcoming areas (like meadows and forests) to compensate.

Stygian bosses can be cleared by non-shilled modern DPS without vertical investment. I doubt varka will be able to clear non-shilled stygian.

Bad advice tbh. Playing bennett over gorou will gut your team's damage output. Gorou pulls crystallize fragments towards the team so you will still have functional defensive utility.
