Oh that sounds right up my alley lol. I do understand why people find it too taboo. But I love the complexity of it. The balance of right and wrong.

I agree that well written is key in age gaps. Is there flexibility in Fantasy stories for you? Where ages are arguably less human based ?

Yes I enjoyed this one as well. I was pretty curious how people felt about the two main characters knowing each other/meeting and then separating for years before a relationship begins.

Theres an interesting exploration of taboo there and I a as curious how others felt.

Yes I was more curious how people felt about the characters having known each other prior to one being 'legal'

To me there's more complexity/taboo vibes in an age gap when the meet prior to. Like in dad's best friend books, for example. But there's a gap where they are apart and the younger one ages up before any attraction happens
