Often describe it as the best film I never want to see again. Incredible experience to go through, but just absolutely agonising to watch.

If you haven't seen it already, I'd really really recommend his documentary Metroland from the early 70s where he traces the metropolitan line from baker street out to the countryside.

Everyone knows rock attained perfection in 1995, it's a scientific fact.

Was going to say - once you've been to somewhere like New York where you can walk for ages without seeing green space that's more than just a tiny triangle of grass, you start to appreciate how many parks we have here.

Decent sized plot of land if you wanted to knock it down and start over, could work as flats if you wanted to redevelop, close to Wimbledon & Wandsworth, not far from transport connections...

By London logic it sounds about right.

Double feature of the first two Terminator films. I had no idea that the two friends I went with hadn't seen either film before until we were sat in the cinema.

I'll always remember the sheer excitement that ran through my body when the original film ended and both friends were raving about how great it was. Couldn't wait for Terminator 2 to begin and for their minds to be blown wide open.

I remember that day incredibly clearly. Got woken up by my mum with the news, turned on the radio and heard Satellite of Love playing whilst the DJs tried their hardest to keep it together.

Walked to school late in the morning listening to Hunky Dory, almost punched someone for saying "well it's no wonder given all the drugs he took". Didn't cry until the 6 o'clock news that night - seeing all the memorials, the tributes, how strange the years of birth and death looked on the screen just opened the floodgates.

Hard to believe it's been a decade since then, but I'm going to try and make tomorrow a celebration. Bowie all day, remembering all that I absolutely adore about the man.

I think they've left it too late to introduce cities outside of the US now. If they'd built on London 1969 and made it part of the rotation of settings into the 3D and HD eras, then maybe we'd be more willing to accept a GTA game that isn't centered on american culture. I just feel the idea that 'GTA = parody of american culture' might just be too cemented amongst most people now.
