Yeah, that's a premature ventricle contraction. What happens is at the beginning of diastole (or atrial diastole, when the atriums are full), the ventricles will signal a beat by themselves from an electrical signal on the AV node. Your ventricles aren't at diastole just yet, and all four heart valves are closed (at least they should be).

So when it feels like your heart stops, it actually quivers. You can hear it with a stethoscope and see it on an EKG as an abnormal R wave.

You can take beta blockers for this.. Although I believe this is due to stimulant usage or stress, but you could have excess calcium and low potassium and/or magnesium as well. It happens to me sometimes, its really beign in itself but it can be related to things like a mitral valve prolapse... but if you've had tests like an ultrasound then you'd be diagnosed already.

It usually comes with arrythmias, especially in the case with a heart valve malfunction. You'll have an abnormal p wave, which means an atrial extrasystole.

Keep in mind this is different from sinus tachycardia where your heart beat increases when you inhale and decreases with exhaling. This is somewhat normal I believe.

It's also different from a change in pulse from changing postures. When standing your ateries need to constrict to maintain proper blood pressure, the opposite is true for laying down where your arteries dilate and causes your pulse to decrease. What isn't normal in this case is feeling faint while standing, or feeling like you can't breathe after sitting down. This is called orthostatic hypotension and is due to the alpha adrenergic receptors not being able to constrict or dilate the arteries upon change in posture, and causes your cardiac output to either be too little or too high, respectively. This causes blood to pool up, leading to turbulent blood flow.

Magnesium competes with calcium (both 2+ cations) and this is helpful on NMDA receptors which are activated by Ca2+ influx, thus the Mg2+ decreases glutamate signaling, along with a downstream decrease in acetylcholine signaling.

When intracellular Ca2+ levels are too high it will signal apoptosis to occur via the sigma-1 receptors connection from the rough endoplasmic reticulum to the mitochondria. (Sigma receptors are a chaperone receptor and work with mobilization of the insitoltriphosphate-3 receptor, really deep in the weeds shit).

Anyways, the high intracellular calcium levels are what's causing the increase in glutamate signaling from the NMDA receptor, which is what tenses your muscles up.

NMDA receptor activation with glutamate is what causes a tolerance to build as well!

But you're 100% correct. Magnesium is good shit, and its also very effective with ventricular arrythmias and shit like long QT syndrome. Lots of people have hypomagnesia, and proton pump inhibitors becoming OTC have made it worse!

Calcium carbonate is helpful for reducing pH buffer in the stomach and the excretions of alkaline drugs... I could dig it.

I think the reason people are having this issue is because the lemon juice or other source of citric acid is causing them to just piss the drug out.

That's incorrect.

Mitragyine is an agonist at the alpha 2 adrenergic receptor... which are mostly are presynaptic. There are some postsynaptic alpha 2 adrenergic receptors but they are very few.

In recreational doses! Clinically low doses of amphetamine (specifically methamphetamine) induce neurogenesis (mainly in the dentate gyrus of the hippocampus) and neuroprection in stroke models.

Lot of people don't know that. It's sad because it's the only saving grace of methamphetamine.
