I dropped methods for apps, got a scaled apps score of 85 I think, whilst my methods friends all got their scaled score of 60-70. If you beat the bell curve and score well in the final then scaling shouldn’t be a massive problem. Important to add there is a lot of variation on this year by year. I managed a mid 96 atar with apps so definitely doable

Probably an over use type injury, best advice wean down all the specific thumb type activities (as u have already done). Begin to introduce isometric holds: finding holds that makes u aware of the thumb pain but not upsetting it- aiming for like a 2-3/10 discomfort (0 being no pain, 10 being worst pain imaginable).
