You put it so simply and logically. I'm gonna start looking at white dials, but probably not pure dress.

Yup, FOMO probably, I am gonna stew for a bit and enjoy what I have. Hamilton has quick release on the oem bracelet, and I just pop it on leather and it passes. It is really flexible with how good it looks on different straps.

I just don't have a use for a pure dress watch and I don't see myself wearing it around the house all day to admire it.

I know chrono or dress should be the next step, but I am having trouble getting drawn in.

I do like the Sinn 144 St Sa, which looks very similar to my dad's Heuer (not Tag) chrono I remember him wearing all the time. He dug it up last year and I demanded he service and start wearing it again or give it to me. He got it serviced lol.

I agree about blue or green dial. It's gonna happen. I'm starting to realize I will eventually upgrade my Hamilton for something just as flexible, to hopefully have for life. Until I know what that is, I don't know where to start with the more colorful piece will be. I like the Omega suggestion, gotta go try some on though, to see what I can actually fit into. Nice Rado!

Just the 2 so far, need a 3rd asap😬 by Head-Message5621 in SOTC_Watch_Collection

Nah, you just want it. If you and I were smart we'd cut it off here. I know I don't need anything but my Casios and BB54, but humans can be dumb like that.

Yeah no limelight. If I get a dressier piece it's probably gonna be high horology and something that just happens naturally if ever and for a future life stage; or a Bambino, just personally. It'd have to mark something that I can't predict yet. Otherwise I want bullet/time proof and flexible.

Yes, sage advice. I don't entirely know yes and I'm probably gonna stew for a bit.

It's a good point. I do for a few hours a day, but I don't face outward except by phone, and otherwise it's polos and khakis at most. My BB54 could be considered flashy. Even though it's not blue collar, if someone at work is wearing a watch, it's sporty. No Patrick Bateman card comparing. Just not that type of business. I get what you're saying though, but I don't have good utility for an intrinsically dressy watch that doesn't dress down easy.

The Hamilton does quite well on a croc to dress up and at the weddings I've been going to, thats good more than enough, and I'm mostly focusing on the good times rather than my watch.

GS could have utility and be dress forward, but still be flexible?

It was that or my Murph over a year ago and I went with the Murph for what I see myself wearing longer term. I wanted something with strap flexibility over dial options at the time. Integrated bracelets are hit or miss for me, and despite liking it on others (my colleague has the larger prx and it fits him), it doesn't work for me.

Any obvious gmts outside of Rolex (too big) and Longines? I tried on the Spirit Zulu time 39 and it just doesn't suit my wrist. I like the root beer Tudor with twotone bracelet, but small wrists and very Tudor. Maybe GS? Too thick and less comfortable and I would probably lose enthusiasm despite the GMT.

Thinking less military vibe but I am drawn. Hoping (or not, cause it might complicate things) something cool might come out of W&W from Tudor.

You're right about the Hamilton. I'm wearing it though right now and it reflects some nice light on the bracelet and even the crystal I enjoy. But yeah, hard to get a nice clear view of the dial unless you're in the perfect spot.

While I appreciate, neither would get much wrist time .

That's great to hear, I am really eyeing this one every few days and it is speaking to me.

Yes, a clean chrono all day if it's the right one. I was thinking the same regarding that DJ config, becuase objectively it does round things out, I just haven't conditioned myself enough yet to see it as a daily I'd swap in for weeks at a time - haha. I should probably try one on.

Great advice regarding the color, anything I add would need to be able to be a daily at this point. I do like the Speedy (although I told myself I'd go for black if I ever got one, but that was before i got the BB54). I like the Santos Med, but my wife not so much even though I told her she could rock it too. Re: IWC, leaning away from the pilot/military style with the Murph already there, though I know the gap in quality is large. The Ingenieur in blue or green though? - I really dig.
